About the job

Clinical Nursing Specialist – Help set the direction for nursing in the Organ Surgery Department

Do you have hospital experience, strong clinical competencies and a desire to drive professional development? Then we may have the position for you.

We are seeking an engaged nurse for a role as Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Organ Surgery Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy. You do not need to have experience as a clinical nurse specialist – the most important is that you have solid clinical experience, professional curiosity and a desire to develop both nursing and yourself, as well as to be a central role in professional development.

You will become an important part of the work to strengthen the quality of nursing, develop clinical practice and translate new knowledge and evidence into concrete improvements in everyday life. In addition to being a clinical expert in nursing in the outpatient clinic and endoscopy, you will share responsibility for implementing the department's strategy for developing excellent nursing, and you will have cross-cutting development tasks across our three units (the inpatient ward, the operating room and the outpatient clinic/endoscopy).

Your tasks will include

  • Identify and prioritise areas for professional development
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives and workflows
  • Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues
  • Contribute to quality, patient safety and evidence-based nursing
  • Create structure and progress in the department's development work
  • Collaborate with management and colleagues to develop nursing

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced nurse who

  • Has a degree at minimum bachelor level; however, it would be an advantage if you have additional qualifying education.
  • Has an interest in professional development, quality and implementation
  • Can create overview, structure and progress
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can engage colleagues and challenge existing practice in a constructive way
  • Works independently and thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Have a desire to take responsibility, share your expertise and help steer the development of nursing.

What do we offer?

You will have an exciting opportunity to influence the professional development in an engaged environment where clinical experience, new ideas and professional reflection are valued.

You will be employed in the Organ Surgery Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy, where working hours will be on weekdays during the day. We provide various outpatient services to patients with, among others, wound, stoma, reflux, hernia and gallbladder issues. Additionally, we have 3 endoscopy suites that perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies within the organ surgery and medical domains. The department provides a good working environment with humor and high job satisfaction.

You will become part of a staff group of about 20 nurses in the outpatient clinic and endoscopy. In addition, you will have a clinical nurse specialist from our inpatient ward and a postdoc nurse as close colleagues and collaborators, with good opportunities for cross-department collaboration, knowledge sharing and joint professional development. You will also have close collaboration with the department's three chief nurses, the department management, key personnel and the quality coordinator.

You will be part of the department's quality team and of Sygehus Lillebælt's Board for excellent nursing. In addition, you will have the opportunity to spend time in the department's interdisciplinary research unit with participation in data collection and dissemination of current research projects in the department.

Can you see yourself in the role?

Application deadline is 15/11/26. Interviews are expected to be held on 17/11/26.

Start date 1/1/27 or by agreement.
