About the job

Are you passionate about social psychiatry, and motivated to create relationships, communities, and development opportunities for people with mental health vulnerability? Do you thrive in an environment where professionalism, presence, and user involvement go hand in hand? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Mitranstedet (Mødestedet) is seeking an engaged and socially strong colleague for a permanent position of 37 hours per week.

We imagine that you are educated as a pedagogue, occupational therapist, nurse, social and health care assistant, or social worker. The most important thing, however, is that you have experience with or an interest in the social psychiatric area and a strong commitment to working with adult citizens with mental health vulnerability.

With us you will become part of a professional community where we every day work to strengthen users' well-being, networks, coping, and participation in meaningful communities.

About Mødestedet

Mødestedet is a social-psychiatric activity center for adult users with mental health vulnerability. With us both non-admitted users, who can freely use the house's offers and communities, and admitted users, who receive individual counseling programs based on their own sub-goals and wishes, meet.

We work with a high degree of user involvement and co-determination. The house's activities are developed and run in close collaboration with the users, and through monthly user meetings everyone has the opportunity to influence both activities, frameworks, and daily life at Mødestedet.

Mødestedet is open every Tuesday evening until 7:00 PM and every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Therefore you should expect fixed evening work on Tuesdays and weekend duty every third Saturday.

As an employee you help create and support a lively and inclusive community through activities such as creative workshop, wood and clay workshop, cooking, music, knitting, walks, and year-round swimming. At the same time we are open to new ideas and activities that you can contribute with.

Together with your seven colleagues you facilitate a safe and meaningful community, where relationships, participation and recovery are in the center. You participate in both the activities and in individual conversations, where you support users in finding resources, new perspectives, and paths to increased well-being and coping.

An important part of the job is also documentation and follow-up as a contact person for admitted users. You must work systematically with professional notes, goals, and progression, and prepare status descriptions for evaluation and follow-up in collaboration with authority advisors.

What we look forward to in 2027

  • We look forward to using our collegial supervision to learn more about our own practice
  • Anchoring a dialogical mindset in our daily practice.
  • Continuing the work with user involvement, together with the users of Mødestedet - especially through “Citizen at the Helm”
  • Courses in Stress Psychology & Psychological Safety with Rikke Høgsted

We expect that you

  • Have a relevant social or health professional education, e.g., pedagogue, occupational therapist, social and health care assistant, nurse, or social worker.
  • Are strong in relationship-building and meet citizens with respect, patience, and recognition.
  • Are adaptable and reflective and actively contribute to professional development through sparring and feedback.
  • Can create frameworks for good conversations and support positive relationships in both individual and collective contexts.
  • That you are able to facilitate an activity, focusing on the background of the activity and the user’s benefits
  • Work safely and structured with written documentation.
  • Value high professionalism, collaboration, and well-being for both citizens and colleagues.
  • Focus on resources, opportunities and development potential rather than limitations.
  • Can translate citizens' goals and sub-goals into concrete actions and visible progression.

We offer

  • A thorough introduction and onboarding, so you get a solid basis for success with the core task.
  • A strong collegial community with 6 engaged, experienced, and helpful colleagues, where sparring, humor, and collaboration are a natural part of daily life.
  • An exciting opportunity to shape and further develop Mødestedet’s offers and activities in close cooperation with users, colleagues, and partners.
  • An workplace focused on professional development, reflection, and learning, where we work from a systemic and recovery-oriented perspective and continuously develop our professional practice.
  • Attractive working hours with potential for balance between work and private life.
  • An diverse and meaningful everyday life where you make a concrete difference for people with mental health vulnerability.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and local wage formation agreement.
