About the job

Would you like to help develop strong communities and create better participation opportunities for children and young people?

Two of our employees are retiring, and we are therefore seeking a skilled and engaged consultant for a combined position with tasks across School and Leisure and Pedagogical Psychological Counseling (PPR). The position is for you who can work strategically as well as practically, drive processes and create coherence between professional ambitions, organizational needs and the everyday life that children, young people and professionals experience.

About the Center for School and Leisure and PPR

At the Center for School and Leisure we work from our vision to create child- and youth communities that want more and embrace more. Our approach is based on a resource-oriented view of children and young people and an ambition that children and young people are seen, heard, understood and involved, so we can strengthen their learning, well-being, formation and development together.

PPR works closely with children, young people and the professionals around them. The initiatives are developed in collaboration with schools and other actors and take their starting point in concrete practice. The goal is to create sustainable solutions, strengthen communities and increase the organization’s own capacity to succeed with all children and young people.

About the position

You will become part of a professional environment where tasks range from development, analysis and project management to concrete sparring, coordination and follow-up. You will work across School and Leisure and PPR and in close collaboration with PPR management, school leadership and other relevant partners.

The final task distribution will be planned based on your profile and the center’s overall task portfolio. You should therefore thrive in a position where tasks can change, and where you both have independent responsibility and participate in joint solutions.

Areas we are particularly focused on

  • Internal capacity building for the benefit of all employees and thus children and young people
  • development of participation opportunities as well as strong child- and youth communities
  • school absence and early, preventive interventions
  • development of quality in leisure pedagogy and youth environments
  • the interplay between the general and special areas
  • development of the content and structure of the school day
  • data and knowledge as a basis for development
  • implementation and anchoring of new initiatives including areas from the Folkeskole Quality Program such as e.g. the subject renewal
  • Establishment of an international upper secondary line

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • drive and support development processes and projects across School and Leisure and PPR
  • contribute to the center’s work with developing participation opportunities, community-building didactics and pedagogy as well as professional collaboration
  • plan, facilitate and follow up on meetings, workshops and cross-cutting processes
  • draft analyses, decision briefs, notes, descriptions and presentations for managerial and political use
  • work systematically with relevant data and translate knowledge into clear professional and organizational actions
  • coordinate initiatives and create coherence between different disciplines, organizational levels and partners
  • handle other tasks and contribute flexibly to the center’s overall task fulfillment.

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant higher education and knowledge from the school, PPR, child or youth field
  • have experience with process and project management and can carry tasks safely from idea to action and follow-up
  • can move naturally between a strategic level and concrete practice
  • are analytical, structured and can create an overview in complex tasks
  • communicate clearly and confidently both in writing and verbally
  • are relationship-oriented and can create trust and momentum in cooperation with different professional groups and leadership levels
  • work independently, take responsibility and at the same time see the work community as a prerequisite for success
  • are curious, solution-oriented and ambitious on behalf of children and young people.

You can expect

  • a versatile position with the opportunity to influence both tasks and working methods
  • a central role in the development of cohesive initiatives for children and young people
  • a strong professional community with engaged colleagues and partners
  • a high degree of trust, flexibility and independence in task resolution
  • opportunity for professional development and close collaboration with management and practice.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent full-time role at 37 hours per week with commencement on 1 January 2027. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement. The workplace will as a rule be Frederikshavn Town Hall and PPR’s workplaces, and there may be meeting activity at the municipality’s schools and other locations.
