We are looking for a coordinating caseworker who can create coherence, direction and momentum in pathways for citizens who are further from the labor market. You should want to work closely with the citizen and translate social work knowledge and employment legislation into concrete, meaningful solutions.

With us you get not just a case file. You get the opportunity to work holistically with the citizen’s situation and become a central person in the process. You will take responsibility for both the authority-task, the coordination and the employment-oriented efforts.

About Job and Development

Job and Development helps citizens move forward towards work, education or a clarification of their work capacity. We combine authority, an active employment effort and cross-disciplinary coordination.

We work among other things with

• work-ready cash benefit recipients
• citizens in job-clarification programs
• citizens in resource-goal programs
• citizens in long-term sickness benefit programs, where work capacity needs to be clarified
• illness benefit cases that have been extended due to a work-related injury

What unites the citizens is that they need an employment-oriented intervention, progression towards the labor market or a thorough clarification of work capacity.

About the job

As a coordinating caseworker you will be responsible for citizens who often are in complex situations and need social, health-related and employment-oriented interventions to be connected.

You work closely with the department’s other caseworkers, job brokers, IPS consultants, the professional coordinator, the municipal doctor and our many partners both inside and outside the municipality.

An important part of the job is to ensure that the interventions are not merely activities, but support a clear direction toward work, education, paid hours or a sustainable clarification of work capacity.

You must also be able to take initiative for employer-facing interventions. Our business consultants can help open doors to companies, while you as a caseworker follow up on the programs and prepare the necessary documentation and progression assessments.

Your tasks include, among others,

• handling authority case management in accordance with applicable law
• conducting meetings and following up closely with the citizen
• uncovering the citizen’s resources, barriers, health, functional ability and work capacity
• developing and following up on plans, goals and concrete interventions
• coordinating cross-disciplinary and cross-sector interventions around the citizen
• initiating employment-oriented, upskilling and clarification programs
• following up on job placements and other employer-facing programs
• preparing progression descriptions and professional assessments
• collaborating with businesses, doctors, hospitals, psychiatry, social psychiatry and other municipal departments
• preparing complex cases and ensuring a professional and well-documented basis for further actions
• motivating and supporting the citizen’s path toward work, education, paid hours or clarification of work capacity

You are a trained social worker or social mediator, and we imagine that you

• have experience with or an interest in the employment area
• have a solid authority-based perspective and can navigate current legislation
• can handle complex cases while maintaining focus on the citizen’s resources and opportunities
• work in a structured manner and ensure clear documentation and timely follow-up
• communicate clearly, respectfully and understandably both verbally and in writing
• can create an overview and direction, even when many professionals and interventions are involved
• take responsibility and initiative and at the same time know when professional sparring is needed
• want to actively work with companies and regular hours as part of the citizen’s path forward
• are comfortable with digital tools and can quickly learn new professional systems
• are curious about how digital and AI-supported tools can help create quality and overview in case work

It is an advantage if you already have experience with activity-ready cash benefit recipients, job-clarification programs or sickness benefit areas, but the most important is that you have a strong social work foundation and a willingness to learn.

Practical information

The position is 37 hours per week with a starting date as soon as possible.

Your workplace will be Fredensborg Town Hall, Egevangen 3B, 2980 Kokkedal.

We offer flexible working hours and a fixed home-working day on Fridays.

At the town hall we also have a good canteen, which most people appreciate, as well as a gym facility that employees can use.

Salary and employment terms are determined according to applicable collective agreement and principles of local pay formation.
