About the job

Would you like to help solve an important authority task and contribute to ensuring citizens' residence information is correctly registered in CPR?

In the Civil Registry, authority, service and professionalism are brought together in harmony, and we are now seeking several strong talents to elevate our tasks. If you are an efficient and skilled case handler with a flair for written communication, attention to detail and professional service to citizens, then you may be the one we are looking for.

About the positions

We offer a permanent appointment as well as four fixed-term appointments for a four-year period. Our new, upcoming colleagues will be welcomed at an exciting workplace centrally in Copenhagen, where nothing stands still, and where you as a case handler will have the opportunity to develop professionally together with many skilled and ambitious colleagues. Our work environment is characterized by an informal, open and honest tone, and we prioritize stability, integrity and collaboration highly.

Our upcoming permanent employee will join a group in the Control Unit whose core task is to ensure correct registration in CPR in accordance with applicable law.

The temporarily employed staff will become part of the Civil Registry's teams and will handle case processing of an increasing number of residence cases arising from the establishment of the new housing patrol in Copenhagen Municipality.

We offer good opportunities for professional development in the CPR area and good terms where you can become proficient as a case handler within an important and citizen-centered area.

Is it you?

We place emphasis on high quality in case processing and always with the citizen at the center. Therefore, it is a requirement that you have strong written and oral communication skills.

We also expect that you have good collaboration skills and can show flexibility in a sometimes hectic everyday life. With us you can expect to be met with respect, trust and flexibility to balance work and private life.

You are office-trained with specialization in public administration or an equivalent education, and it is an advantage if you have concrete experience with case processing as well as authority work.

Hereafter we expect that you

  • can communicate in writing at a high level
  • work in a structured way and have a sense for details in your work
  • work closely with colleagues, but also can work independently
  • take responsibility, are curious and eager to learn new
  • communicate in a proper and friendly manner with citizens
  • contribute to making a difference – both professionally and personally

About the Housing Patrol

The City of Copenhagen has decided to establish a housing patrol to strengthen oversight of illegal use and rental of housing. The supervision of illegal use and rental is handled by the Climate, Environment and Technology Administration. Establishing a housing patrol will lead to a significant increase in the number of residence cases in the Civil Registry, as the municipality will be exposed to a larger number of cases where there is suspicion of incorrect residence registration in CPR in connection with the housing patrol's work.

About Civil Registry, Control and International House

Civil Registry, Control and International House are part of the Culture, Leisure and Citizen Service Administration. We are in total 65 dedicated and skilled employees, and our work is essential for ensuring that citizens get access to important and correct welfare services.

Salary and employment terms

The workplace is Nyropsgade 3, 1602 Copenhagen V. References will be checked in connection with the appointments.

The appointments are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating supplements according to qualifications.

Permanent appointment: This is a full-time position with expected start on 1 January 2027.

Fixed-term appointment: These are full-time positions with expected start on 1 January 2027. The positions are fixed-term with expiry on 31 December 2030. There may possibly be an extension.
