Nutritional Lead with Sole Responsibility Sought for Maternity-Leave Cover at Børnehuset Skrænten

Are you passionate about making healthy, varied and tasty food for children – and do you want to take responsibility for a kitchen where professionalism, quality and the children's love of food are in focus? Then you may be the person we are looking for at Børnehuset Skrænten.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated nutrition professional to act as sole responsible for a maternity cover at 37 hours per week or as agreed, with start date 1 February 2027.

Børnehuset Skrænten is an integrated day care with around 60 children distributed between toddler and kindergarten groups. We focus on child communities and participation opportunities, and we see meals as an important part of the children's everyday life.

Your kitchen – your professional responsibility As the sole nutrition professional you will have the daily responsibility for the kitchen's operations and for preparing healthy, nourishing and varied meals for our children. You will have freedom to plan and organize the work in the kitchen and the opportunity to put your own professional mark on the meals.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Plan menus and prepare lunch as well as mid-morning and afternoon snacks for the children.
• Assemble varied and nutritionally appropriate meals based on current recommendations.
• Handle purchasing, ordering and financial overview of the kitchen's budget.
• Ensure good food hygiene, self-control and cleaning of the kitchen.
• Consider allergies and other special dietary needs.
• Work consciously to reduce food waste and make the best use of ingredients.

We expect that you

• Have a relevant nutrition education and experience cooking for children.
• Can work independently, in a structured and responsible manner.
• Have a sense of nutrition, taste, variation and the children's different needs.
• Can plan the kitchen's tasks and create a well-functioning everyday life with overview and quality.
• Have control of food hygiene, self-control and applicable rules.
• Have financial understanding and can stay within the given parameters.
• Are approachable and collaborate well with the pedagogical staff.
