Lab Technician Intern (Laboratory Student) at SCIENCE Chemistry Institute

The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science (SCIENCE), University of Copenhagen is seeking a laboratory apprentice (lab assistant student) with start on 1 February 2027.

About us

The Department of Chemistry conducts research and education within the chemical field, from bachelor to PhD level. The laboratory technician activities at the department include assisting with exercises, research support, as well as procurement and other practical infrastructure tasks.

Duties

Your tasks will include a wide range of practical tasks at the Department of Chemistry. We offer a training placement where you have the opportunity to tailor your own education. The department consists of several research groups working with analytical chemistry, synthesis chemistry and much more. The work will be divided between teaching- and research-related tasks. Since the work consists of both routine work and research tasks, we expect you to be able to use your creativity and imagination in an academic context. Therefore you must be able to work independently and make your own decisions.

• You have completed the Academy Profession Degree in Laboratory Technology, to a point where only the internship period remains as of 1 February 2027.
• You find synthesis and analytical chemistry exciting.
• You speak English and wish to work with people from around the world.
• You thrive with many changes in your daily life.

We offer

We offer a training placement where you have the opportunity to help assemble your own education. The department consists of several research groups that work with analytical chemistry, synthesis chemistry and much more. The work will be split between teaching- and research-related work.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the collective agreement with HK-Stat. The internship period is 11 months, consisting of training and a dissertation project.
