About Bibliarium

Bibliarium is an experiential center where children and young people come together with their class or confirmation group. The groups participate in a fixed program, where they, as future storytellers, go on an exploration in a labyrinth of biblical stories to finally create their own stories. Bibliarium is housed in St. Andreas Church on Gothersgade. Here you enter as a visitor into a multimedia-based experience, where films, pictures, screen tasks and sound installations blend with old bricks and high vaults.

In time, the employee will help develop Bibliarium's offerings to more target groups with a focus on experiential cultural mediation of biblical stories. Read more at www.bibliarium.dk

The job in a small cultural institution has many facets

Operations tasks

• To host visiting school classes, confirmands, etc.
• Administrative tasks in the form of booking assistance and responding to emails.

Religious-education development tasks

• To develop formats for communication based on biblical stories and religious-education themes.
• To develop shorter written and digital materials that support the visit to Bibliarium.

Communication and marketing

• To contribute to the work with newsletters, image editing, website and other marketing.
• To help with network-building within school, church and culture.

Bibliarium is open from 8:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and on selected Saturdays. Working hours are agreed within this timeframe.

About you

You are focused on how stories can contribute to conversations about what it means to be human, and you have a particular insight into the biblical stories and their history of impact in a Danish context. You thrive in a newly started and dynamic institution with a small staff, where we support each other in task solving and cultivate an experimental environment with keywords such as collaboration, action orientation and professional curiosity.

As a religious-education professional employee you have

• A relevant education (e.g. cand.mag. in history of ideas, religious history or literary history or similar, cand.phil., cand.theol. or cand.pæd.).
• In-depth experience with conveying to children and young people in a cultural institution.
• A philosophical approach to conveying the biblical stories.
• An engaging written communication for our target audiences.
• Insight into religious didactics and formation theory.
• In-depth knowledge of how the biblical stories are expressed in, among other things, literature, film and broader culture.
• In-depth knowledge of the Danish primary school curriculum descriptions for Christianity and Danish.

Place of employment: Copenhagen Cathedral, Our Lady.

Working hours: 32 hours per week.

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment will be covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010 and the Organizational Agreement between the Ministry of Church Affairs and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010 for church officials with core duties such as parish clerk, parish assistant/church- and culture employee or church musician and the accompanying protocol for parish assistant/church- and culture employee. There are educational requirements for the position, which can be fulfilled in several ways: teaching education with Christianity as a main subject, bachelor in theology or religious studies, experience working in the Church of Denmark or by supplementing with the mandatory basic education for church and culture employees. Employees who do not meet the educational requirements are paid in salary grade 1. The annual salary is within the range 339,396 - 428,285 DKK.

Employees who meet the educational requirements or have completed the mandatory basic education are paid in salary grade 2. The annual salary is within the range 355,557 – 484,850 DKK. There is a readiness obligation to the position. The readiness allowance is 35,513.14 DKK annually, and the OK24 allowance is 3,538.98 DKK annually. All amounts are stated in current kroner per year.

The final salary is set according to your qualifications and experience within the above framework. An agreement on placement in the salary range shall be entered into between the board and Kirkekultur.nu.

Formally, the appointment falls under Vor Frue Parish Council, where Bibliarium is legally and financially anchored, but in practice it is managed by Bibliarium's board.
