About the job

We are seeking a medical secretary/SAK for lung diseases, Medical Department, Regionshospitalet Gødstrup

Are you the type who loves an overview, coordination and the feeling that everything comes together in a higher unity? And would you use your professional skills to make a real difference for the patients? Then read on here!

In the Medical Department we are busy, we are developing and continuously taking on new and exciting tasks. Therefore we are looking for an engaged and professionally strong medical secretary/health administrative coordinator for our pulmonary medicine specialty.

With us you become an important part of a specialty with exciting professional challenges, close patient pathways and strong cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will have a daily life where your professional expertise, your overview and your ability to find solutions make a difference – for both the patients and your colleagues.

What will you be doing?

Charting is still an important part of our daily life, but the job is much more than that!

You will among other things be working with

  • Referrals and booking of patients.
  • Coordination and follow-up on patient pathways.
  • Charting, registration and coding.
  • Patient rights and administrative workflows.
  • Contact with patients, relatives and partners.
  • Collaboration with doctors, nurses and other professional groups to make everyday life function.

In short: You are involved in ensuring that the administrative pieces fall into place, so that patients receive good and coherent pathways.

You must be able to keep a cool head when there are many balls in the air, prioritise when plans change, and take responsibility for ensuring that tasks are completed safely. In return, you get a daily life with variation, responsibility and the opportunity to use your professional skills actively.

Who will your colleagues be?

You will be part of a large secretary group with more than 40 colleagues spread across clinics, inpatient wards and office corridors in the Medical Department.

In pulmonary diseases we are 5 secretaries who together cover both inpatient wards and clinic. We know the value of helping each other, sharing knowledge and finding solutions in a group. We work independently with our tasks, but we are never alone with the responsibility to get everyday life to hang together.

We value a good working environment, professional development and a daily life where there is room to take responsibility and ask for help.

We are looking for you who …

  • Are educated as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator – this is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Have knowledge of and preferably experience with the EPJ (electronic patient journal).
  • See the importance of correct registration, coding and patient rights
  • Thrive with independent responsibility and take initiative when you see something that needs to be solved.
  • Can create overview and coordinate complex patient pathways.
  • Work structured, quality-conscious and paying attention to details.
  • Can adapt when the day’s plans change.
  • Meet patients, relatives and partners with a professional and welcoming approach.
  • Thrive in a team where we help each other and lift together.

And you are reliable. We depend on one another in daily life, and your contribution matters to the whole team.

What will you get with us?

We offer you

  • A permanent position in an exciting and well-functioning specialty.
  • Skilled and helpful colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge.
  • A daily life with responsibility, variation and the opportunity to develop professionally and personally.
  • A good working environment with a focus on well-being and collaboration.
  • Possibility for flexibility and home working approx. once a week, depending on tasks and operations. It is a possibility – not a requirement.
  • A workplace where your professional skills and your role are important for the overall patient pathway.

What does the working time look like?

You work daytime hours on weekdays. We are almost ward-free, but there may be

  • Saturday duty approx. every 3–4 months from 8.00–15.00.
  • Public holiday duties occasionally – though not every year.

Shall we meet?
