About the job

Would you like to help develop and strengthen our secretariat in the outpatient clinic in Vejle? Do you thrive as an engaged team player who actively contributes to the handling of common tasks and functions in the overall secretariat? Then it is you we are looking for!

We expect the position to be filled on 01.12.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is initially 37 hours. Your working hours will be on weekdays between 07:30 and 15:30, with a minimum of one weekly day ending at 15:30.

We are looking for an engaged and competent medical secretary or health administrative coordinator for a permanent position. The job involves a varied workday with the performance of ordinary secretarial tasks, including receiving patients at the reception, handling telephone inquiries, booking and coordinating patient pathways, and performing registration tasks. In time it is also possible to take on specialist tasks, tailored to your competencies and interests, once you have settled well into the secretariat.

As our new colleague you will be part of the secretariat in Vejle, where you will have 10 skilled and experienced medical secretaries and health administrative coordinators as your nearest colleagues. At the same time you will also be part of the large, combined secretariat for the entire Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Region of Southern Denmark, where about 60 medical secretaries and health administrative coordinators are ready to welcome you.

Our large secretariat spans four facilities (Esbjerg, Vejle, Odense and Aabenraa), and from time to time you will get to know your colleagues across locations. When you are employed in the secretariat of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Region of Southern Denmark, you become part of a secretariat that is in development and growth.

We handle many important tasks, and we have a central role in coordinating and ensuring good patient pathways in collaboration with our many colleagues from several different professional groups.

We are a teaching hospital, and we prioritize competence development highly. We have several health administrative students, whom you will also have a responsibility to train and educate in collaboration with your colleagues in due time.

We imagine that you

  • Are educated as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator (mandatory requirement)
  • Are down-to-earth and have both feet firmly planted on the ground
  • Have experience with, and are proficient users of, EPJ Syd
  • Thrive in a daily life where the pace can be high and where tasks often vary
  • Meet patients, relatives and colleagues with empathy, calm and a smile – and have a natural sense of situation
  • Have a good portion of humor and contribute to an informal and reassuring atmosphere in everyday life
  • After completing training can work independently and take responsibility for daily tasks
  • See the value in collaboration and actively contribute to the community – with us we lift tasks together – we think 'we' instead of 'I'.

What you can expect from us

  • A daily life in a development-oriented department, where we all work together to create the best possible patient pathways for our patients
  • A strong collegial togetherness based on trust, respect and good humor
  • An workplace where there is room for socializing – both in everyday life and at private events
  • Influence over your own working hours and flexibility with the possibility of home office days after training, and when tasks allow this
  • Close collaboration with many different professional groups, which helps make your workday educational and varied
  • Good opportunities to develop yourself – both professionally and personally – in line with your interests and competencies.

We emphasize that you will get a good start in your new position and feel well introduced to both the tasks and our organization. Therefore you will be assigned a mentor, and an introductory program will be prepared to support your onboarding and give you a good understanding of our exciting department.

Have we sparked your interest?

We hope so! And we think you should apply for our exciting position no later than 21.10.2026.

We expect to conduct interviews on 23.10.2026.
