At Langhøjskolen we are seeking a mathematics teacher as of January 1, 2027. The position is a permanent full-time position. Reduced working hours to 80% can be agreed. We have a mentoring scheme for new teachers and extra preparation time during the first two years as a recent graduate. We have a strong collegial community where there is professional sparring, engagement and ambitions on behalf of the students and the school.

Langhøjskolen has around 730 students and 80 staff. The school is located close to the S-train, green areas and by the water. We are organized in year-group teams and in three divisions: Lillehøj for BHK-5th grade, Storehøj for 6th-9th grade and SFO-3Høje. We also have a good collaboration with the club Danalund.

You will become part of a school where we make an effort every day to create opportunities for participation for all children in both teaching and leisure time. We focus on creating motivating learning environments and safe communities characterized by high professionalism and quality. Our approach to school development is broadly anchored and driven in communities among teachers, pedagogues, students and leadership and in collaboration with an engaged parent group.

In this school year we are further developing our practice and collaboration especially around the subject renewal, project-based learning (PBL), team-timetables and student involvement.

About the position

We are seeking a teacher for the following tasks

• Mathematics, Christianity and co-class teacher in Lillehøj (4th grade)

There are four classes in the year group and close professional collaboration between the teachers. You will both teach mathematics in two classes and have team-timetables (two-teacher lessons) with your mathematics partner in the two other classes in the year group. In relation to the team-timetables we work with joint preparation and subject team collaboration across year groups.

If you are keen on teaching technology understanding, there are good opportunities to develop it with us. It may be to become a technology guide and part of our talent initiative.

We are a school with strong scholastic chess traditions and have chess on the timetable for the youngest classes and as an offering during breaks. If you are passionate about school chess, there is an opportunity to become part of a strong team around the task.

We are looking for a teacher with the following qualifications

• Is engaged in and curious about how we create opportunities for participation for all students
• Has strong relationship skills
• Can create clear structures and align their classroom management with colleagues in the team
• Can collaborate with colleagues on planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching processes
• Can include the voices and perspectives of students in teaching
• Is didactically curious about the subject renewal, practice-based learning and project-based learning
• Communicates continuously and systematically with students and parents
