We are a new department under development and are in the midst of a major transformation process, where tasks are moved closer to the citizen, and where new forms of cross-sector collaboration are essential. From January 1, 2027, Nær Sundhed will have regional authority and operations responsibility for approximately 130 Health and Care placements and a unified regional Emergency Nursing for citizens in the municipalities of Vejle, Fredericia, Kolding and Middelfart.

Viben is a 24/7 ward located in Thyregod with 16 beds. The staff group consists of house assistants, økonoma, social and health care assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, as well as physiotherapists. As head of function at Viben you do not have personnel responsibility for the therapists, but for the rest of the staff in the house. Viben is also an education site for nursing students and Social and Health Care Assistants.

About the position

As head of function for health- and care placements in Nær Sundhed, the management task is to ensure that citizens with complex health needs receive a coherent, professionally qualified and safe service in the aftermath of or as an alternative to hospitalization. Our task is to strengthen functional ability and well-being for the individual citizen.

You will support the good multidisciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration, and that we create synergies across sectors so that in the future we can also offer good and coherent patient pathways.

You will become part of a new department where value-based leadership at eye level with the employees becomes a crucial part of the leadership foundation.

Who are you?

You must be able to generate buy-in, maintain the high level of professionalism and stimulate the development of the department. You are able to balance setting direction and giving space for the professional input of employees, and translate the rationale behind decisions into concrete solutions. Additionally, you use involvement as an active driver for innovation, quality, ownership and speed in implementation.

We expect your leadership to contribute to the development of the professional environments, excellent nursing and rehabilitation and the cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration. You are focused on being close to and part of the core task in daily work and meeting citizens, relatives, colleagues and partners with respect, responsibility and integrity. It is important that you are motivated by and capable of succeeding through others.

We also expect that you have a health-professional background, experience with professional and/or staff leadership, and preferably experience from both the municipal and regional health care systems.

About the department

Nær Sundhed is a new department in Sygehus Lillebælt, which is under development. The overall leadership team will consist of the department leadership with Chief Physician and Chief Nurse, as well as six functional leaders.

We in the departmental leadership are convinced that the future of local health care is created by citizens' needs setting the direction and professionalism and collaboration making the difference. We move away from silos and label thinking toward a health system characterized by coherence, relationships and shared responsibility for the citizen's pathway.

Salary and terms

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experiences and qualifications.

There will be 1st interviews on 23.10.2026 and there may be a need for another interview. There may be a personality test between the 1st and 2nd interview.
