About the job

Speech-language pathologist for a permanent position in PPR Brøndby

Would you like to be a speech-language pathologist and contribute to development in a PPR with many exciting tasks?

In PPR Brøndby we are committed to helping create decisive positive changes for children and young people in their development environments and communities. If you are looking for a good speech-language pathology job in a PPR with professionally exciting tasks, a really good group of colleagues, and where the culture is characterized by curiosity, professional discussions, engagement and openness, we would be glad to welcome you from January 1, 2027.

A little about what you will step into

PPR works practically, consultatively, investigatively and assessingly in our collaboration with schools, kindergartens and other parties about the shared task of supporting and promoting children’s and youths’ well-being, development, learning and opportunities to participate.

We work close to practice – partly with a focus on supporting the child’s/young person’s development and partly with a focus on developing the linguistic and pedagogical learning environment. We therefore focus on making a difference close to everyday life and in practice. We do this with a basis in interdisciplinarity, high specialization, good collaboration habits, creative solutions as well as attention to the situation and complexity that both children/young people, families and external colleagues face.

The municipality’s demography is diverse, which provides opportunities to think, communicate and collaborate in many ways depending on what the task calls for.

We are one of 10 municipalities that have been granted extra funds for more hands in PPR, temporarily until 2028. In the 0-6 year area, part of the initiatives consist of interaction- and language-supportive courses as well as practice-oriented programs for staff in day care – both in the general and the special education sector.

In the school area there is, among other things, a focus on developing practice-oriented interventions for classes that need more language-friendly learning environments, which particularly benefits our many multilingual students and students with DLD. These initiatives include programs where speech-language pathologists and teacher teams work together in co-teaching.

To support a high professional level, we have regular sparring in monofield teams, cross-disciplinary sparring groups and ongoing competence development. This is for example based on the Canadian Hanen programs.

We place emphasis on organizing a good introduction program so you feel prepared to take on the tasks. Therefore you will also be assigned a mentor. Your team leader is a trained audiologist-speech-language pathologist with many years of PPR experience.

What is involved in the job?

As a speech-language pathologist in PPR Brøndby Municipality you will participate in both cross-disciplinary and independent tasks in both the general and special education areas covering the group of 0-18-year-olds in the municipality.

In these tasks there will be coaching and advice to parents, teachers, pedagogues and leaders; speech-language assessment and intervention; observations and what you professionally assess to be able to support language-friendly learning environments and children’s well-being, learning and development. Work is carried out to a large extent to support the adults around the children, with the aim of creating good participation opportunities for all children.
