About the job

PPR in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality is seeking a speech-language pathologist for a permanent position of 37 hours per week with commencement as soon as possible.

About the job

Right now there are 11 speech-language therapists and we want to be 12. We have, as a starting point, a position ready, but we would like to be curious about what you can do and are happy to tailor the position's content to the right applicant.

As a rule, the position is primarily in the day care sector, where you will take responsibility for a number of kindergartens in one of our districts as well as two of the municipality's competence and resource groups in the day care area. In addition, there is a small school as part of the task.

In the competence and resource groups we work with children with various communicative, linguistic and developmental challenges. As a speech-language pathologist you will become an important professional in the work with the children's communication and participation, including alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

You will also be part of a close multidisciplinary collaboration with day care and PPR's other professional groups.

About us

PPR in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality is part of the Center for Education and Pedagogy.

We are organized in eight districts, where the various professional groups work closely with the municipality's day care centers and schools to create good development and participation opportunities for all children and young people. As a speech-language pathologist you will therefore be part of a broad multidisciplinary environment together with multilingualism consultants, psychologists, special education teachers, special education consultants, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

The speech-language pathologists participate in a district-based collaboration model, where we, among other things, take part in consultative sparring and networking meetings. We focus on bringing our professional skills closer to practice and on supporting children's language and communication development in the communities they are part of.

You will be part of an established group of speech-language pathologists that is professionally strong, engaged and curious. We place a high priority on professional sparring and emphasize a work environment characterized by respect, humor and helpfulness. We make a lot of effort to help new colleagues settle in well and value accessible and present leadership. Your immediate leader has a background in speech-language pathology, and you will have good opportunities to bring your expertise into play and develop together with skilled colleagues.

We are also organized into professional teams with specializations within different speech-language pathology areas. We include, among other things, an interdisciplinary articulation team, stuttering team, voice team, and a special speech-language pathology team.

We expect that you

  • are educated as a speech-language pathologist with a teaching, pedagogical or university background
  • can conduct speech-language pathology assessments and teach children aged 0-18 years
  • work independently and can plan and prioritize your tasks
  • communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • provide counseling and guidance from a consultative, systemic and inclusive perspective
  • have interest in and preferably experience with working in the field of special speech-language pathology
  • thrive in a multidisciplinary collaboration
  • can give presentations and contribute to competence development in the language area.

We offer you

  • a position with good opportunities for professional development, where we emphasize supporting you in your professional interests and competencies
  • opportunity for upskilling and courses
  • dear and fun colleagues who prioritize each other both professionally and socially
  • a prioritization of the speech-language pathology area both in the professional group and in management
  • regular professional group meetings and sparring
  • a flexible workplace with the possibility to organize the work based on the tasks.

Practical

We process applications and hold interviews continuously and hire when we have found the right speech-language pathologist.

You will be employed under the current collective agreement.

PPR is based in PPR-Huset, Lundtofte Skolestræde 6, 2800 Kongens Lyngby. Since the tasks take place at several locations, it is necessary that you have the opportunity to travel by car or bicycle.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of the language area, Henriette Keil, by phone at 24 75 41 85 or email [email protected] or speech-language pathologist, Linnea Hoffmeyer Grindsted, by phone at 22 19 39 43 or email [email protected] .
