Maintenance Manager for Sundolitt – Billund

Do you have solid technical understanding, strong competencies in PLC controls and experience with maintenance of complex process plants? And are you motivated by combining hands-on technical insight with leadership, structure and continuous improvements?

Sundolitt seeks an experienced maintenance manager with primary workplace at our factory in Billund. You will have a central role in ensuring high technical uptime, stable operation and a professional maintenance organization – while contributing to the continued development and optimization of our production facilities.

Your responsibilities

As maintenance manager you have overall responsibility for the daily maintenance efforts and to ensure that our production equipment and technical installations function stably, safely and efficiently.

Your main tasks will include

• Leadership and development of the maintenance function
• Planning and prioritization of preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshooting and problem solving at complex production- and process plants
• Technical sparring around PLC controls, automation, electrical and mechanical engineering
• Analysis of downtime and implementation of improvement measures that increase uptime and reliability
• Participation in technical projects, conversions and investments in new production equipment
• Collaboration with production, engineering, suppliers and other Sundolitt units
• Ensuring documentation, structure and high standards within safety and maintenance

Your technical background

We envisage that you have a strong technical profile and preferably a background as industrial electrician, mechanical engineer or equivalent .

It is essential that you have solid practical and theoretical insight into PLC controls and automated production plants . You do not necessarily need to program everything from scratch yourself, but you must be able to understand the controls, diagnose faults and engage in qualified dialogue with both your own technicians and external specialists.

In addition we expect that you

• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with complex process or production facilities
• Have a strong understanding of electrical, automation and mechanical systems
• Work systematically with troubleshooting and root cause analyses
• Have experience with planned and preventive maintenance
• Can maintain overview when production is stopped and a solution must be found quickly
• Have good collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and organizational levels

Leadership experience would be an advantage. The most important is, however, that you have the technical heft and the personal impact to set direction and create structure around maintenance work.

A role with cross-organizational contact

Your primary workplace will be Sundolitt in Billund , but the role also naturally interfaces with other parts of the organization.

You should therefore expect around 20-30 travel days per year , both in Denmark and abroad. The travels will typically be in connection with technical projects, collaboration between factories, supplier visits and knowledge exchange.
