Materielgården in Roskilde is seeking gardeners

At Roskilde Municipality we are looking for skilled and independent gardeners who can help maintain and develop our green spaces. You will become part of a Materielgård (Equipment Yard) with 125 colleagues, where we place emphasis on high professional quality, good cooperation and a good working environment.

Your tasks

• Caring for and maintaining parks, green areas, road areas and institutions.
• Pruning and care of trees along roads and in parks
• General tree felling and handling with focus on biodiversity.
• Ad hoc tasks with pavements / repairs of various fixtures.
• Establishment of planting.
• Operation and maintenance of relevant equipment and machines.
• Winter maintenance from 15/10 - 15/4.

Your profile

• You have a relevant education or certification – preferably as a gardener, or alternatively with extensive experience in the field.
• You work systematically, safety-conscious and with a focus on high quality.
• Can work both independently and as part of a team, and have good physical condition, and a good eye for the trade.
• Have a driving license in category B, preferably BE and C.
• Are familiar with IT, as our tablets / phones / systems are important tools in our daily work.

• Working hours: Monday-Tuesday 06.30 – 15.00 Wednesday-Friday 06.30 – 14.00.
• Employment is based on the applicable agreement between 3F and the Association of Municipalities (Kommunernes Landsforening).

About Materielgården Materielgården is Roskilde Municipality's own contractor company. With around 125 employees and managers, we solve operating, maintenance and construction tasks within roads, green areas, sports facilities, winter service and a range of other service tasks. Our work can be felt positively throughout the municipality – every day.
