Holstebro-Alstrup Friplejehjem is seeking an executive cook/nutrition assistant for a maternity leave cover

Would you like to create healthy, tasty, and inviting meals for our residents? Then it might be you we are looking for for a maternity leave cover as an executive cook/nutrition assistant – or with a similar education.

About the position

We are looking for a committed and skilled executive cook/nutrition assistant for a maternity leave cover who wants to help create good meal experiences for our residents.

You will have responsibility for cooking for about 30 residents and about 10 staff. You will become part of our dietary team, which consists of three people with different employment levels.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure delicious and nutritious meals, prepared as much as possible from scratch and in line with the Danish Food Authority's recommendations.

Your tasks

• Developing meal plans focusing on seasonal ingredients, colors, and variation.
• Online purchasing of ingredients within the budget.
• Internal quality control and cleaning of the kitchen.
• Introducing residents to both familiar and new taste experiences.
• Collaboration with colleagues to create a good food culture.
• Acting as the link between the kitchen and the rest of the staff.

We expect that you

• Have a relevant education and preferably experience in cooking and kitchen operations.
• Are creative, innovative and open to new initiatives.
• Can work independently and maintain an overview in a busy day.
• Are reliable, outgoing and positive.
• Have a desire to make a difference for residents through good meal experiences.
• Have understanding of and interest in working at a nursing home.
