Nutrition assistant or similar background

The Community Living Arrangements under Handicap and Residential Care seek a Nutrition Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or other nutrition professional

We are looking for a skilled, engaged and flexible employee who wants to work with diet and nutrition for citizens with permanently reduced physical and mental function who live in our communal living arrangements.

As a starting point, the work is arranged Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 14:30, during which time meals for weekends also need to be prepared. You can also help shape the position since it is a new role being created as residents are newly referred to meal service.

A little about us

A new organizational structure means that the Community Living Arrangements are located at Drengshøj 7, Højtoftevej 64 and Aspevej in Thisted; all residents are referred to meal service, but it will not necessarily be your task to prepare meals for everyone; it will also depend on your abilities and competences.

The majority of residents are linked to protected day services in the municipality.

Desired qualifications

• The primary task consists of daily preparation and cooking of meals for about 40 people
• Knowledge of how to perform self-checks according to current standards in food production
• Good cooperation skills, adaptability and a desire to be in an environment where social-pedagogical assistance is our primary task and that there should be cooperation with residents, the pedagogues and our health care staff
• An employee who can see opportunities within the given framework
• Willingness to work independently and take responsibility
• That you have an appreciative and positive view of people
• That you want to involve the residents and accept that they are around you
• That you want to consider each individual’s nutritional needs in relation to their challenges
• That you care about the core task – preparing food

Primary duties

• To order goods for food production
• To prepare healthy and nutrition-appropriate meals for about 30 residents and for the staff who participate in the pedagogical meals
• Cooperation with residents, staff and management
• An appreciative approach to residents and colleagues, and to have an eye for well-being and the good life for the individual.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local wage formation. The specific salary range will be communicated prior to the interview.

Before employment a criminal record must be presented.

Start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement.
