Gandrup School seeks a teacher - maternity cover

Are you passionate about creating safe, motivating and strong learning environments for children? And would you like to put your professional knowledge into practice in a close and engaged team collaboration?

Gandrup School is seeking a teacher with a specialism in a subject to a maternity cover of 28 hours per week, with start on 16 November 2026.

In this position you will be a central part of the 3rd year group team, where you collaborate as a group and work closely to support students’ academic, social and personal well-being.

Your main tasks and subjects

• Teaching: You will teach Mathematics (3rd year), Science/Technology (3rd and 4th year), Swimming (4th year)
• Team collaboration: Close and committed collaboration in the 3rd year with a focus on shared responsibility, pedagogical reflection and differentiation.
• Home-school collaboration: Ongoing, open and professional dialogue with the parent group.

We expect that you

• Are a trained teacher – preferably with a subject specialization in mathematics and/or science/technology.
• Have strong relationship skills and clear classroom management that creates structure, predictability and security in the classroom.
• Meet the students with a child-centered view: “Children do the right thing if they can” .
• Can pedagogically differentiate and motivate the students based on their individual needs and prerequisites.
• Are an engaged, flexible and professionally skilled team player who communicates empathetically and professionally with students, parents, colleagues and partners.

About Gandrup School

Gandrup School has approximately 280 pupils from 0th to 9th grade (1–2 streams) and is a 20-minute drive from Aalborg. We are about 45 staff who work in self-managing teams with a focus on student involvement, group formation and professional collaboration.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and local pay arrangements.
