Maternity leave substitutes for Billum Fribørnehave/SFO and Billum Frivuggestue

I Billum Fribørneby we are seeking two pedagogues for maternity leave cover during the winter.

As two of our skilled pedagogues go on maternity leave, we are seeking a pedagogue for a 30-hour position in Billum Frivuggestue as of February 1, 2027 and a pedagogue for 33 hours in Billum Fribørnehave/SFO as of March 1, 2027 .

We are a small institution normed to

• 14 nursery children (0–3.1 years)
• 26 kindergarten children (3–6 years)
• SFO from 0th grade

Who are we?

Billum Fribørneby is a community consisting of Billum Friskole, SFO, kindergarten and nursery , beautifully situated on the edge of Billum with plenty of nature and good opportunities for outdoor life.

We are an inclusive day institution in movement, where there is ample opportunity to use the school’s, the kindergarten’s and the SFO’s many facilities. Outdoor life is highly valued , and we focus on the many possibilities our different outdoor spaces offer. The children’s well-being and development are always in focus, and we are dedicated to following the child’s path and seeing where the day leads us .

The staff consists of a small, active group, working according to Marte Meo’s principles . We have an appreciative approach to children, parents and colleagues and pay great attention to focusing on what works . Good relationships we see as a prerequisite for both personal and professional collaboration – internally, with the school, the board and our external partners.

We love trips away from home – whether it is on a cargo bicycle or by the school bus.

In addition, we have close cooperation with the day-care providers in the local area, and we offer preschool in spring, for the oldest kindergarten children.

You will be employed in a house where you can expect to work with the entire age group from 0 to about 9 years , as we help each other across when needed, but you will of course have your usual place either in the nursery or in the kindergarten/SFO.

We are looking for 2 pedagogues for maternity leave covers who

• Are theoretically and professionally grounded and can translate theory into practice
• Can work purposefully and develop action plans for children with special needs
• Have experience with children in age groups 0-3 years, 3-6 years or 6-9 years
• Have an overview, can navigate a busy day and make independent decisions
• Can establish good collaborative relationships with management, colleagues, parents, board and network
• Have strong engagement and are flexible
• Are passionate about outdoor life, nature and playground play
• Are adaptable, have humor, are imaginative and full of energy
• Can accommodate and include all children
• If you have good IT skills, that is a plus

Can you see opportunities rather than limitations – both in the children and in everyday life? Can you initiate activities and follow them through, and can you see yourself in one of the departments, then you are the one we are missing.
