About the job

Are you passionate about working with safe, patient-safe patient pathways at a busy acute hospital with many complex pathways?

We are seeking a skilled consultant and risk manager who wants to work with both UTHs, patient safety and other quality agendas that occupy a large acute hospital. Right now one of our four risk managers is on maternity leave, so we need someone who wants to join the team for the coming year.

In Patient Pathways we work closely with the Direction and the department heads on both quality development and patient safety. In addition to patient safety work, a variety of tasks are undertaken, such as supporting councils and committees, collaboration with the municipal sector, implementation of strategic initiatives and the Health Reform’s intentions.

Your role and responsibilities

Risk Manager

  • Case handling of accidental incidents in collaboration with the departments’ case workers / persons responsible for patient safety
  • Assess patterns and trends in accidental incidents with a view to cross-cutting improvement efforts. Including attention to proactive actions in patient safety work
  • Collaboration with the departments around proactive patient safety work
  • Facilitation of patient safety analyses

Consultant

Another part of your portfolio will be coordination and project management of strategic quality initiatives at hospital level, contributing to good and coherent patient pathways. It can also involve initiatives in relation to the Health Reform, where we are currently concretely working with task transfers from municipalities to the regions.

About you

  • You have a clinical background and experience with patient safety work.
  • You are outgoing and understand how to engage in dialogue and collaborate with the departments on patient safety work
  • You work systematically, create progress and are proactive
  • You are someone who enjoys contributing to and being part of a team where team spirit, collaboration and high professional quality are the hallmark. You thrive in a culture where knowledge sharing and teamwork are highly valued, while also being able to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.

Terms and employment process

You will be employed in Patient Pathways in the Section for Clinical Quality and Patient Safety.

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for non-management staff in the Health Federation area with salary placement as a nurse without special training.

The position is a 1-year maternity cover and a full-time position at 37 hours per week, to be filled by 1 December.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Section Chief Signe Kristensen at phone 2029 6591 or Risk Manager Tina Obert at phone 20258203.

The application deadline is 23 October. We will conduct interviews on 27 October (morning).
