About the job

One of our appointment/triage secretaries has ventured off to new adventures, and therefore we are missing you in our group of skilled secretaries in Clinic 1 at the Department of Cancer Treatment.

We are looking for a competent and engaged medical secretary/health administrative coordinator, who will primarily be part of the triage in close collaboration with our other appointment/triage secretary. You will become an important part of our secretarial group and will naturally also be involved in the other secretarial tasks in the clinic.

Welcome to Clinic 1

Clinic 1 is part of the Department of Cancer Treatment, where we handle the evaluation, treatment and follow-up of patients with cancer. Clinic 1 provides treatment and care for patients with cancer in the head and neck area, thyroid, lungs and skin.

We work closely across professional disciplines, and the secretaries play an important role in daily coordination and in making the patient pathways hang together.

As a triage secretary you will have a central function, where you among other things help ensure that patients are triaged and booked correctly, and that the different parts of the patient pathway are coordinated in the best possible way.

A workday with professionalism, collaboration and good collegiality

For us, collegiality is important. We believe that we both professionally and personally come the farthest when we help each other, share our knowledge and lift the tasks in a shared effort.

We work closely across professional groups, as interdisciplinary collaboration is an important part of our daily life. When secretaries, doctors, nurses and other professional groups play to each other’s strengths, we create the best conditions for both patients and colleagues.

We also prioritize having fun together. Most recently we held a theme day where we became professionally wiser, worked on our collaboration and had a lot of fun together. In addition, we host an annual Christmas lunch and enjoy each other in less formal settings.

About the job

As a triage secretary you will, among other things, participate in the work with

  • triage and administration of patient pathways
  • booking and coordination of investigations and treatment
  • phone and written contact with patients and partners
  • close collaboration with the clinic’s other professional groups
  • administrative tasks that support a good and coherent patient pathway
  • continuous development and optimization of workflows.

We work in a daily life where the pace can be high, and where it is important to maintain overview, prioritize and at the same time keep an eye on both the patient and the colleagues around you.

We imagine that you

  • are educated as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator
  • have experience from the hospital sector and preferably with triage and/or cancer care packages
  • work in a structured and independent way
  • have good collaboration skills and contribute actively to a good working environment
  • communicate clearly and approachable
  • thrive with both routine tasks and tasks that require flexibility and problem-solving
  • want to be part of a secretarial group where we help each other and make each other look good.

The most important for us is not that you can do everything from day one. The most important is that you want to learn, take responsibility and want to become part of our community.

We offer

With us you get

  • a workplace with high professionalism and a focus on quality
  • a close and multidisciplinary collaboration with engaged colleagues
  • opportunity for professional and personal development; we have, among other things, developed “Career Paths”
  • a varied daily life with the possibility to influence the workflows
  • an work environment where we take our work and each other seriously
  • Health administrative professional leadership (leading medical secretary)

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with working hours from 7:30 to 15:30 by agreement.

Weekends and Sundays/holidays are normally closed, but there may be individual opening days in the outpatient clinic in connection with several days closed in a row. Therefore we notify 1-2 working days in weekends/holidays per year (for information, in 2025 and 2026 we have no extra opening days).

If you are interested in hearing more about us or the position, you are welcome to contact Health Administrative Manager Rikke Baggersgaard at telephone 3868 5232.

Application deadline: Friday 20.11.26. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, and the posting will be removed if we find the right candidate. Apply for the position via the link.
