About the job

One of our three medical secretaries has found other challenges, and therefore we are seeking a new colleague with starting date as soon as possible or at the latest by November 1, 2026.

At Lægerne ved Åen you will become a central part of a large general practice in ongoing development. We have a busy and varied daily life where good collaboration, structure and the ability to maintain an overview are essential.

About you

We are primarily looking for the right person. You are quick to learn, curious and eager to develop in the role. You thrive with a high activity level and are not deterred when plans change, or when several tasks require your attention at the same time.

We imagine that you

  • Are friendly, service-minded and enjoy contact with patients.
  • Can remain calm and keep an overview – even when the phone rings, the waiting room is full, and the day's program changes.
  • Work in a structured, thorough manner with an eye for detail.
  • Are good at prioritizing and can juggle several tasks without losing the whole picture.
  • Take responsibility, show initiative and actively contribute to finding solutions.
  • Are flexible and adaptable.
  • Are a team player, who communicates properly and naturally collaborates across professional groups.
  • Have a desire to both learn new things and share your own knowledge with colleagues.

Experience as a medical secretary or health administration coordinator – especially from general practice – is a great advantage, but not a requirement. The same applies to experience with the XMO patient record system. Your approach to work, your ability to learn and your way of engaging with the community weigh heavily with us.

Your tasks

The workday will be varied, and the tasks will include, among others

  • Telephone handling, triage and appointment scheduling.
  • Reception and guidance of patients.
  • Handling of electronic mail, correspondence and prescription requests.
  • Overview and coordination of the clinic's calendars.
  • Administrative tasks related to daily operations.
  • Collaboration with doctors, nurses, medical students and fellow secretaries.
  • Simple laboratory tasks such as urine strips and CRP.
  • Renewal of habit-forming medications.

The tasks are developed continuously, and there will be opportunities to take on your own areas of responsibility.

The tasks and roles will vary from day to day with an aim for a diverse daily life and the possibility to use different competencies.
