About the job

Would you like to work with advisory services within environmental and nature-related matters, where different professional issues are combined with professional assessments, project work and contact with authorities? And do you have experience in one or more of the areas we work with?

With us you will become part of a professionally strong team that works purposefully with nature and environmental considerations in all project phases – from the initial planning considerations and investigations to authority processing and project execution.

About DJ Miljø og Geoteknik P/S

We have more than 20 years of experience in environmental and geotechnical consulting and today employ over 40 people with offices in Hillerød, Sorø and Odense. Our work includes consultancy, investigations, sampling and case processing within both environment and geotechnics, and we attach great importance to multidisciplinary collaboration, high professional quality and an informal tone.

About the position

You will be part of a closely collaborative team where professional sparring and knowledge sharing are an integrated part of everyday life. The tasks are solved in close dialogue, and there are ongoing discussions of professional assessments, method choices and authority relations. As a new colleague you will be introduced to tasks and workflows through professional sparring, so you gradually build an overview and responsibility in your projects.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Quality assurance of reports and applications
  • Environmental investigations, assessments and guidance within the nature and environmental area
  • Environmental assessments of projects' impacts on nature, the environment and receptors
  • Preparation of EIA/SMV screenings and other environmental assessments
  • Obtaining permits and exemptions, including under the Nature Protection Act
  • Dialogue and coordination with authorities, developers and other stakeholders
  • Risk assessments and preparation of an environmental factual basis in projects

The tasks are varied and day-to-day work can be changeable. This requires that you can work independently, maintain an overview and actively seek out and apply relevant professional knowledge when new issues arise.

The work involves preparing professional assessments, notes and documentation as well as ongoing dialogue with authorities and collaboration partners. Therefore it is a requirement that you master Danish at an academic and professional level – both written and spoken.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant natural-, environmental- or other relevant education
  • Have at least 5 years of experience with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act, Nature Protection Act, Planning Act and/or Environmental Protection Act – and a desire to build on this
  • Preferably have at least 5 years of practical experience as a consultant or from a similar position
  • Have an understanding of authority processes and collaboration with public authorities
  • Can operate in the intersection between building and construction projects, nature considerations and authority requirements
  • Communicate clearly and professionally – both in writing, verbally and in dialogue with clients
  • Work in a structured way and can handle several parallel tasks
  • Are flexible, curious and professionally engaged
  • Have a driving license (category B)

You do not need to have experience in all of the above areas. The most important is that you have a relevant professional background and experience that you can bring into the team, as well as a desire to develop your competences within nature and industrial environment.

We offer

  • A trust-based and informal working environment with a high level of professionalism
  • A diverse daily life with consulting
  • Opportunity to build and specialise your professional profile within nature and industrial environment
  • Close collaboration in a committed and professionally strong team
  • Salary according to qualifications

The working hours are 36 hours per week. You can choose whether you want to be attached to the office in Hillerød, Sorø, Frederiksberg or Odense. Possibility for remote work to be agreed as needed.
