Nurse - Aalborg Municipality's Acute Care Nursing Unit

As of January 1, 2027, Aalborg Municipality will establish a new unit for acute nursing in cooperation with the North Jutland Region. Therefore we are seeking nurses with a minimum of 2 years' experience who can see themselves fitting into this new role. Municipal Acute Nurse.

At the same time, it is important that you want to help shape and develop Acute Nursing Aalborg from the start. We are starting up something entirely new, so it is important that you are willing and brave for this completely new task, where much will first be put in place during the first months.

We are looking for both nurses with municipal experience and nurses with hospital experience or other parts of the health service, who want to put their clinical competencies to use in a new cross-sector function.

Be part of building something new

Acute Nursing Aalborg will become a municipal-wide, out-of-house function with a focus on high professionalism, strong coordination and close collaborations across the municipality, general practice and hospital. The acute nursing should also work closely with the Health and Care Places (SOPs) and have a bridging role between the municipal holistic care and the SOPs. The aim is to support coherent and well-functioning citizen pathways, where handovers and collaboration are experienced as smooth as possible for the citizens.

We are still in the process of developing the framework for the new unit in close cooperation with Region Nordjylland, which has the authority for Acute Nursing Aalborg. Therefore, not everything will be in place at the start on January 1, 2027. Working methods, collaboration interfaces and parts of the task portfolio will be developed continuously, and it will be a central part of the job to actively contribute to this development.

It is also expected that the task portfolio for Acute Nursing Aalborg over the coming years will evolve in step with the implementation of the health reform and the ambition to move more treatment and follow-up closer to the citizens.

You must therefore be prepared to

• be part of establishing a new workplace where everyone starts at the same time
• contribute to the development of workflows, collaboration within the framework of national professional standards
• participate in a daily routine where you actively contribute to the development of practice in a new unit where not all solutions are predefined
• be adaptable and see opportunities in changes
• help create a strong professional community and a good working environment
• be willing to engage in a close professional community with Aalborg Municipality's APN nurses (Advanced Practice Nurse)

We imagine that you

• Are a licensed nurse with experience from acute, medical or complex patient pathways in municipality, general practice or hospital settings.
• Have relevant experience or competence development within acute nursing. If you do not have a municipal acute nursing professional education, we offer training and competence development in connection with the start.
• Have a good organizational understanding of the municipal nursing role in the local health service, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of nursing in Aalborg Municipality
• Thrive with independent clinical assessments and close interdisciplinary collaboration
• Have an eye for coherent pathways and the coordinating task around the acutely ill person. But this is not a requirement.
• Work systematically and have strong digital documentation skills
• Have a desire for ongoing competence development as the tasks develop

Concrete about Acute Nursing Aalborg

• Acute Nursing Aalborg provides acute nursing in day and evening shifts. (Night shifts are covered by Aalborg Municipality's joint night team.)
• You should expect to be employed with mixed shifts. Preferably evening shifts.
• You should expect to work every 3rd weekend for the first 3 months. After that, we will aim for every 4th weekend.
• Acute Nursing Aalborg shall use Region Nordjylland's documentation system, Nord-EPJ. You will receive training in it.
• The positions start on January 1, 2027.
• It is a prerequisite for the position that you have a valid driver's license

Salary and employment terms

According to the applicable collective agreement for nurses and health visitors (70.01) between KL and the Danish Nurses Organization.
