About the job

Nurse for Day Clinic (Ambulatory) and Supervision Function – Respiratory Center East (RCØ)

Are you a nurse, and are you motivated by working with complex patient pathways, coordination and close interdisciplinary collaboration? Do you want to combine clinical nursing, high professional standards, teaching and patient-centered work – both in the clinic and in patients' homes? Then it might be you we are looking for in a clinic - and supervision function at Respiratory Center East.

The Ambulatory and Supervision Function is in the process of an exciting merger into one unified unit. Previously they operated as two independent units, but are now joining forces to strengthen collaboration, create greater coherence in patient pathways and develop the shared professional expertise across the functions.

Who is RCØ

RCØ is part of the Department of Anesthesia, Pain and Respiratory Support at Rigshospitalet Glostrup and is one of three respiratory centers in Denmark. We provide highly specialized respiratory treatment for children and adults with rare and chronic respiratory disabilities, including patients in need of NIV, CPAP and invasive respiratory support.

RCØ has about 1800 affiliated patients, of which around 210 are home respiratory users with associated help teams, who monitor and treat at home on delegation from RCØ. We have a regional function across Eastern Denmark and also receive patients from Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The department consists of a clinic - and supervision function as well as a ward, which work closely together around the patient pathways. We are a large multidisciplinary department with doctors, nurses, clinical nurse specialists, social workers, secretaries, SOSU assistants, physiotherapists and med technicians.

About the position

The position is in the clinic - and supervision function, where you will become part of an engaged and professionally strong team with great internal sparring and close collaboration across the entire RCØ.

You will have a varied daily routine with clinical, coordinating, administrative and teaching tasks. Work takes place both in the outpatient clinic, via telephone- and video-consultations as well as at home visits in patients' homes, in residential facilities, nursing homes, institutions and other hospitals.

We work from Fundamentals of Care, with a family-centered approach focusing on person-centered nursing and the trusting relationship with the patient and relatives.

  • Has flair for or interest in medical technology equipment
  • Possesses both strong nursing skills and administrative competencies
  • Thrives on coordination and complex patient pathways
  • Works independently, in a structured and proactive manner
  • Has good communication and pedagogical abilities
  • Wants to teach and guide
  • Thrives in multidisciplinary collaboration and contributes positively to the work environment
