At Skovgården we are seeking a licensed nurse – preferably with experience in the elderly care sector – who wishes to become part of an engaged team where nursing is close to the residents, and where you contribute with your professional knowledge and actively participate in daily care.

Skovgården is a small nursing home with two departments with 15 residents in each department. The small size creates a safe environment where we know our residents, their relatives and each other. It enables close interdisciplinary collaboration, high continuity of care and good opportunities to build strong relationships and individual pathways for each resident.

We work from the Eden Alternative philosophy, where the nursing home is first and foremost the residents' home. We focus on quality of life, self-determination, meaningful communities and relationships, and we believe that care is created through presence, respect and an active everyday life.

Your role as a nurse

As a nurse at Skovgården you are a central professional resource and a visible part of everyday life in both departments. You are responsible for the nursing professional quality and you also actively contribute to the care around our residents.

Your duties include, among other things

• Triaging residents and following up on changes in their health status.
• Nursing assessments, observations and follow-up on complex care pathways.
• Planning, coordination and evaluation of nursing care processes.
• Active participation in daily care, where your nursing expertise makes a difference.
• Ensuring safe and coherent pathways during admissions and other transitions.
• Close collaboration with social and health care staff, therapists, general practice, hospitals, relatives and other partners.
• Guidance, teaching and professional sparring with colleagues, students and relatives.
• Documentation and quality assurance in Nexus.
• Contributing to development and implementation of nursing practice.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Preferably has experience from the elderly sector, for example from a nursing home or home care.
• Has a strong clinical eye and works independently with nursing-related issues.
• Thrives in a multidisciplinary collaboration and actively contributes with your professional knowledge.
• Wants to be close to the residents and sees care as a natural part of the nursing role.
• Meets people with respect, care and curiosity.

Terms of employment

The position is between 35 and 37 hours, according to the applicable collective agreement. Since Skovgården is a care home with 24/7 staffing, you will work every other weekend and on holidays according to the current rota. The rota is planned in collaboration with the team with focus on continuity and balance between work and private life.
