Nurse for the dementia care home Øster Elkjær – with focus on professional development and learning

We are looking for a committed and professionally strong nurse who is passionate about developing quality through close sparring, teaching and learning close to practice.

At Øster Elkjær, 43 residents live with dementia. We work every day to create a safe, dignified and meaningful life for each resident, and we want to continue to strengthen and develop the nursing care efforts in the house.

The position is anchored in two departments, Solsikken and Lærkereden.

About the position

As a nurse you will have a central role in strengthening the nursing care quality and developing employees' competencies through bedside learning, sparring and teaching close to the daily practice.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

• Support and develop the nursing care quality in the care.
• Carry out bedside teaching and learning pathways in everyday life.
• Be a professional sparring partner for social- and health care staff.
• Contribute to the implementation of new workflows, guidelines and clinical interventions.
• Contribute to early detection and prevention of deterioration in residents' health status.
• Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with colleagues, doctors and other partners.

It is an advantage if you have experience as a clinical supervisor, but it is not a requirement.

An important part of the position will also be to support our nurses from third countries. You will be responsible for following up on their introduction and evaluation processes and contributing to their professional development and cultural integration into the organization.

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has an interest in or experience with the dementia field.
• Is passionate about competence development and learning in practice.
• Enjoys teaching, guiding and providing professional sparring.
• Is good at building relationships and collaborating across disciplines.
• Has an interest in supporting international colleagues in their professional development.
• Works in a structured way and can translate theory into practice.

Salary and employment terms

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the bargaining organization.

Fredericia Municipality is a tobacco-free workplace.

The position is 37 hours in day shifts with weekend work about every 8th weekend.

According to the municipality's personnel policy, there can be a dialogue about individual wishes for flexibility in working hours and the arrangement of work.

Starting as soon as possible or by January 1, 2027.
