About the job

Are you the group leader who, together with another group leader and the care center manager, can say yes to leading the way to create coherence and person-centered care for the citizens? Are you responsive to relatives and passionate about developing the competencies of employees? Do you want to help ensure a good environment to live, reside and work in?

Can you answer yes to the above, then we are ready with the world’s best leadership job, where freedom with responsibility and sound judgment help put the citizen at the center. And where person-centered care leadership sets the framework for you as a leader.

In these months we are prioritizing the implementation of the new Elderly Act at the Care Center. This task is led by the group leaders, together with the super-users in Nexus.

We collaborate across the Municipality with other care centers, home care and nursing in Multifunctional Teams.

The core task and the framework for the task execution for you as a leader will mean that you

  • are the guarantee that the citizen’s needs and dreams are at the center of daily work, and that there is communication with them and their relatives, where relatives are seen as a resource
  • are a visible and present leader who is passionate about supporting and creating well-being among employees in daily work with the person-centered care, by continuously ensuring competence development, so that employees feel competent to solve the core task
  • lead with energy and enthusiasm, show direction and be available to citizens, employees and relatives
  • are persistent and ensure professional quality in the tasks, and have the ability to initiate actions and generate ideas when things need to change
  • are good at structure and planning, can share responsibility for financial management and operation of the care home, so that resources are used as effectively as possible for the benefit of the citizens
  • are positive, curious and inventive, dare to challenge others for the benefit of the citizen’s center, and are ready to change something that does not make sense
  • have good collaboration skills, self-insight and the leadership that all employees will want to work for. You know what happy employees mean for the result.

We expect you to

  • have a health-professional education, preferably with leadership experience
  • have a positive outlook on life, where others are drawn to follow you
  • have a sense of humor, smiles and a contagious mood
  • practice appreciative leadership
  • strengthen a professional and engaged working environment where high well-being is a given
  • see the whole person, with the differences their lived life has given
  • be able to succeed as a leader by living up to the vision of self-worth and coherence in everything you say and do, by understanding, creating meaning and enabling the citizens
  • be capable of relationship-building with an appreciative, listening and inclusive approach toward citizens, relatives and employees
  • prioritize collaboration with citizens, relatives and volunteers
  • ensure collaboration with other professionals around the good citizen journeys
  • have a natural curiosity and proactiveness regarding new knowledge and possibilities within your own work area
  • be able to delegate tasks and involve the employee group.
  • exert authority and meet deadlines and schedules to solve tasks and problems
  • demonstrate decisiveness, so there is no gap between words and action
  • be able to make decisions and work with focus toward achieving agreed goals, budgets and results
  • be tolerant and authentic, and fulfill the leadership role by stepping into character, being credible and setting boundaries
  • have a flair for IT
  • be willing to roll up your sleeves, lend a hand in care
  • participate in the evening shift a few times a month
  • together with the other group leader, share responsibility for the duty roster.

We offer

  • engaged and open employees who are very keen to view our citizens from another angle
  • employees who put the citizen at the center
  • employees who give space to each other and place the good working environment high on the agenda
  • employees who work to improve documentation

From the care center manager you can expect feedback, close follow-up on your leadership tasks, support and help with difficult tasks, and freedom under responsibility to create the best conditions for well-being for both citizens and employees.
