Many of our colleagues are heading out into new and exciting chapters as parents, and therefore we are looking for a new colleague for a longer maternity leave replacement in the Kitchen at Regionshospitalet Horsens.

Do you have a professionally qualified nutrition assistant, chef, gourmet butcher or do you have another relevant dietary education?

Would you like meaningful work with good colleagues, high professionalism and fixed working hours? Then you may be the person we are looking for.

You will become part of a kitchen with around 50 engaged and food-loving employees with different dietary backgrounds. With us we work both independently and in smaller teams, where we help each other and lift tasks together.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include

• Production of hot dishes, including vegetarian dishes
• Production of cold dishes, open-faced sandwiches, sandwiches, desserts and hors d'oeuvres
• Production of vegetables, salads and semi-finished products for the kitchen's other departments
• Food production for both patients and staff canteen

You will also participate in shifts on patient wards, where you serve patients on two departments and have direct contact with them in daily life.

In addition, on some days you will help handle tasks around meeting and guest hospitality in connection with hospital events.

• Have a relevant dietary education
• Preferably have experience from central kitchen or other food production
• Thrive working independently and taking responsibility for your tasks
• Have a sense for quality and details, even when busy
• Are approachable, flexible and collaborative
• Contribute positively to the community with good humor and a helpful approach

Working hours

• 37 hours per week
• Work every 5th weekend
• Approximately one weekly evening shift, which ends no later than 19:00
• Shifts typically between 06:30 and 13:54

Who are we?

The hospital kitchen is responsible for all meals for the hospital's patient wards, outpatient activities, meeting activities and guests. We provide meals daily to about 260 patients and run the hospital's green canteen with around 700 daily dispatches.

We make food from scratch with about 90% organic ingredients and work purposefully with quality, nutrition and sustainability. We are proud of our gold badge in organic products and of the fact that in 2024 we were nominated for the Kitchen of the Year award for our work with sustainable and diverse food production.
