About the job

We are seeking nutrition assistant apprentices to start the main program in January 2027

In Health and Care we work to integrate dietary guidelines, ecology, recognizability and quality in the food as well as the right nutrition to come together in a higher unity. We work climate-consciously with reducing food waste and prioritize climate-friendly foods in our kitchens.

As a nutrition assistant apprentice in Health and Care you have the opportunity to receive a broad education. The training periods will be spread across at least 2 different workplaces during the apprenticeship. Typically there will be training periods both in a kitchen at a nursing home and in a café in one of our Folk Houses during your education. In this way you will be well prepared when you complete your training as a Nutrition Assistant.

We offer

  • A high-quality education – we aim to train the best nutrition assistants and you have a great opportunity to be employed after completing your education
  • A well-structured education in close collaboration with the school
  • A capable and engaged supervisor/mentor who guides you through your training periods so you develop the necessary competencies
  • Fixed study time every week where you practice connecting theoretical knowledge with the practical tasks you perform during your training periods
  • Student network meetings four times a year – where all students in the municipality participate
  • A good working environment where we focus on everyone feeling well at work and opportunities to develop professionally as well as personally
  • Collaboration with other professional groups and elderly residents regarding desires and needs around the diet. For example nursing staff, occupational therapists, dietitians. In some kitchens there are also other food professionals employed, e.g., a caterer or chef

We are looking for you who

  • Want to cook good food for our elderly residents in nursing homes and guests in the cafes in the Folk Houses
  • Are aware that you as an apprentice are in a learning process in connection with your employment, and therefore are curious to learn and improve as well as receive feedback
  • Are not afraid to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Are outgoing, welcoming and have good collaboration skills
  • Are currently enrolled in or have completed Grundforløb 2 for the Nutrition Assistant program, Gastronom, Baker or Pastry Chef.
