About the job

Do you want to use your professional skills where they make a real difference – and at the same time develop as a nurse?

We are looking for an engaged nurse who wants to help create safe, meaningful and professionally strong pathways for residents and their relatives at Gandrup Nursing Home.

This is a new type of position where you get the opportunity to apply your full nursing expertise – in everyday life, in complex or acute situations – and at the same time become part of a close, cross-disciplinary collaboration, where you are close to daily practice to support, develop and ensure the execution of nursing tasks.

Gandrup Nursing Home is being built in scenic surroundings - northeast of Aalborg, and houses 50 residences on 2 floors, distributed with 26 somatic and 24 dementia apartments. There are 4 living units, where 3 house 12 apartments and the last houses 14 apartments. Gandrup Nursing Home opened on April 1, 2026. The home is built in collaboration with Sundby Hvorup Housing Association and is a modern building with good communal facilities and up-to-date technological aids.

The house is located in a town that is very interested in the nursing home and there is great potential for interaction with the local community.

About the position

  • Newly established position as a nurse
  • It is a permanent position initially 37 hours/week
  • The position is desired to be filled by January 1, 2027 or no later than February 1, 2027
  • Primarily day shifts, but evening and weekend work may occur.

Key tasks

Your role as a nurse

Here you will not only have a job, but an important role in a professional community where we support each other, share knowledge and develop new ways of collaborating to benefit those we are here for. As a nurse you will become an important part of ensuring high professional quality, strengthening clinical quality of care and setting the direction for the interdisciplinary collaboration – so residents meet an effort that is coordinated, qualified and tailored to their needs. We have already hired a nurse who participates, for example, in a cluster collaboration with nurses from other nursing homes in Plejebolig.

Your tasks will include

  • Carry out complex and specialized nursing in close collaboration with other professional groups at the nursing home
  • Assume clinical leadership and ensure coherence in citizen pathways, e.g., at admission, hospitalization and discharge
  • Support colleagues’ learning and professional development by being close to practice, sparring, triaging and knowledge sharing
  • Document and communicate nursing observations and interventions in accordance with current guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of the professional environment and implementation of new knowledge
  • Participate in preventive work through early detection, triage and collaboration with the nursing home doctor, etc.
  • See yourself joining a new role where all workflows are not yet designed, but where there is an opportunity to influence it

We are looking for a nurse who

  • Is a licensed nurse with experience in complex pathways
  • Can work independently and at the same time thrive in a close cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Wants to contribute to a learning environment and professional development, e.g., through teaching or side learning
  • Is willing to take clinical leadership and coordinate interventions with the citizen at the center
  • Has an open and positive view of people, good humor and can maintain an overview in a busy daily life
  • Can navigate the care system CURA – or is eager to learn it
  • Experience with dementia or interest in this field.
  • The position requires that you have a category B driving license; it is advantageous to have access to your own car

We offer

  • A workplace where the focus is on professionalism, cross-disciplinary cooperation and the residents’ quality of life.
  • Ongoing competence development and teaching – both mono- and cross-disciplinary
  • Mono-disciplinary sparring with nurses across nursing homes and sparring with the municipality’s key personnel (e.g., wound, incontinence, dementia and APN nurses)
  • Thorough introduction to documentation in CURA, workflows and the VAR system as well as how we work with health professional quality assurance across the care home
  • The possibility of being part of a newly started nursing home and work community.
