About the job

Join a specialized and multidisciplinary team! Do you want to make a real difference for people with acquired brain injury? Are you keen to work with rehabilitation at a specialized level, in close multidisciplinary collaboration and a daily life where professionalism, structure and relationships go hand in hand? Then it may be you we are looking for.

A workplace in exciting development

We are seeking four nurses for permanent full-time positions in the day rehabilitation unit, which is physically located at Bytoften. The positions are ready for filling from 1 December 2026.

We are in the middle of an exciting development, where the specialized area, according to the Health Reform, is being transferred from the municipality to the region as of 1 January 2027. This means you will become part of an organization in change – with the opportunity to make your professional mark, contribute to the development of specialized neurorehabilitation and be part of an important journey for citizens, employees and collaboration partners.

Who are we?

We work with citizens after discharge from hospital stay, where the length of stay depends on each citizen’s development potential – typically a program of three months. In rehabilitation, we work toward the individual citizen becoming active and participating in their future life, based on their own resources, wishes and needs, and in collaboration with relatives.

You will become part of a dynamic, engaged and multidisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social and health care assistants, neuropsychologist, speech-language pathologist and chief physician. We work purposefully and specialized with rehabilitation plans for each citizen and focus on supporting citizens to become active participants in their own lives.

About the positions and your tasks

These are permanent full-time positions. You will be part of a shift system, as the unit is operated around the clock. The work includes shifts at various times of the day and weekend work. We have two crews, and we can accommodate individual considerations as we work with wish plans. The exact scope will be agreed closer to the start and planned in the shift schedule.

You can expect the following tasks

  • Nursing assessments, observations and interventions in rehabilitation processes as well as medication management, dispensing and follow-up on treatment
  • Collaboration with citizens, relatives, doctors, hospitals and municipal partners
  • Contribution to multidisciplinary rehabilitation plans, documentation, status descriptions and professional communication
  • Support for a rehabilitative approach in daily work with citizens

About you

We are looking for someone who

  • Is professionally engaged, curious and eager to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex issues in a rehabilitative daily life.
  • Is interested in, and preferably experienced with, neurorehabilitation as well as complex pathways.
  • Sees neuro-pedagogical strategies as a natural part of the task.
  • Has good collaboration skills, enjoys teamwork, seeks sparring and values multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Is proactive and able to plan and prioritize your own tasks independently.
  • Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing and thrives in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
  • Moves effortlessly between mono-professional and multidisciplinary tasks, even when daily life requires quick shifts. At the same time, you actively contribute to a good working environment together with your multidisciplinary colleagues.

It is an advantage if you have a driving license, but not a requirement, as rehabilitation for some citizens will also take place in the citizen’s own home.

What can you expect?

With us you enter a workplace where professionalism and human closeness go hand in hand. We offer:

  • A close multidisciplinary collaboration with the citizen at the center and the possibility to closely follow the citizens’ development.
  • A thorough introduction program with professional guidance, supervision and competence development in relevant tasks.
  • A varied daily life with professional challenges and a focus on quality and evidence-based practice.
  • A good working environment with psychological safety, engaged colleagues, good humor and room for community.

Would you like to help set the standard for specialized neurorehabilitation? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
