Experienced nurse for Neurological Outpatient Clinic

Many of our ambulatory nurses are in fortunate circumstances, and therefore we are seeking an experienced and dedicated nurse for our Parkinson team.

About the position

We are looking for an experienced nurse for our neurological outpatient clinic, where nursing has an independent and central role in the assessment, treatment and follow-up of patients with complex neurological diseases – primarily within Parkinson's disease

This is a permanent position of 30-37 hours in the outpatient clinic, with on-call in the inpatient ward every 6th weekend.

Your nursing professional function

As an experienced nurse, you are expected to actively contribute with high professional quality and clinical decision-making competence. Your tasks will include:

• Independent nursing consultations with clinical assessments and relevant follow-up
• Advanced patient and relative/caregiver counseling for chronic and complex neurological diseases
• Coordination of interdisciplinary patient care pathways in collaboration with doctors, therapists and other professional groups
• Administration and follow-up of specialized treatments
• Participation in quality development, professional reflection and knowledge sharing within the nursing team

Nursing is a core professional pillar in the department, and your clinical experience and professional judgment are highly valued.

About the Neurology Department

The Neurology Department is a large and highly specialized department with three inpatient wards as well as several outpatient clinics and day hospitals. We care for both common and rare neurological diseases and have a strong focus on patient-experienced quality, evidence-based practice and continuous development of nursing .

The department actively participates in research, quality work and projects with clinical medicine trials. Our patients often live with serious and incurable diseases, which places high demands on nursing professionalism, continuity and relational skills.
