About the job

Tax is not simple. Therefore we need you. Do you want to combat the black economy through a targeted effort? Could you imagine a varied and flexible everyday life with professional development in a specialized unit? Then you might be our new colleague.

Be part of making a difference that can be felt

As a control officer in Black Economy Companies, you will help support an important societal task. We help ensure fair competition through a targeted effort against the black economy in Danish companies within selected sectors.

There is a guarantee of variety

In our project you will encounter many varying tasks, and two days are rarely the same.

The control tasks are carried out together with colleagues and are generally conducted as unannounced visits to companies. You have influence over planning your workday, plan your control days with colleagues, and you have the possibility for remote/home working days.

If you are only interested in working with accounting controls, we would also like to hear from you.

In the role you will among other things be involved with

  • outgoing unannounced control visits, where sales registrations and employees are checked on site as far as possible
  • post-control of companies' VAT and A-tax returns
  • use of sanctions, e.g., in the form of imposing a digital logbook and digital sales registration
  • follow-up accounting control of VAT, A-tax and possibly other taxes

Independent, efficient and quality-conscious

We envision that you have a relevant educational background, such as cand.merc. Aud., Financial Controller, HD-R, tax auditor or professional bachelor in taxation.

New graduates can also be considered. It would, however, be an advantage if you have practical experience with case handling.

As a person we expect that you

  • are structured and can balance between independence and being a team player
  • are service-minded and have a consistent approach to ensuring that legislation is followed
  • have good communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • are skilled at analyzing based on your accounting understanding and flair for IT
  • have the possibility to work at slightly odd times on weekdays once or twice a month

It is important that you have a good mood and a positive attitude both toward the task and your colleagues, and that you are open to new challenges and approach the tasks with enthusiasm and strong engagement.

We have many different tasks, so in the onboarding period we place a strong focus on your onboarding.

We ensure that a plan is made for potential skills development, and you will also have the opportunity for continuing or further education.

Contact and employment terms

Applications with CV and certificate should be sent via the link “Søg stillingen” no later than Sunday October 18, 2026.

If you have questions about the job, the tasks and the daily challenges, you are welcome to contact function manager Dorrit Larsen at phone 72 38 84 90 or one of your perhaps future colleagues, Kiri Kristensen at phone 72 38 29 61 and Rie Hornsbæk at phone 72 38 22 21.

We expect to hold interviews in weeks 44 and 45. A case and a personality assessment are included in the recruitment process, and a criminal record check will be obtained prior to employment. Expected start date is January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

You will be employed under the current collective agreements for academics in the state (AC), for office workers, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK) or for Administrative officers, etc. (DTS) in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth. You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with the associated institutions.

If you proceed to employment in the recruitment process, you should be aware that we conduct a check whether you have debts that have been sent for collection by the public authorities. We also check whether you have concluded control and/or criminal cases in the tax and duty area. Your employment is contingent on us not finding information about you that is incompatible with employment in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth's group.

The workplace is Engelholm Allé 1, 2630 Taastrup.
