Are you an occupational therapist with an interest in rehabilitation and recovery? Are you passionate about making a difference for citizens, based on their own wishes and goals? Then you may be our new colleague.

As we currently have many occupational therapy tasks, we are seeking an occupational therapist for a 6-month temporary position. Your tasks will include caring for geriatric and medical citizens, and there may be tasks in the neurological domain.

About the job

You will work with rehabilitation in a municipal practice, where you are close to citizens’ everyday life and develop your professional competences in a strong mono- and interdisciplinary environment. In addition to all your colleagues in rehabilitation, you will also have interdisciplinary colleagues in the Health and Prevention department and in our Rehabilitation and Recovery Team (ROG) anchored in holistic care.

Your tasks will include

• Manage programs both individually and in groups, based on the Health Act § 140, the Service Act § 86, and ÆL. The tasks are carried out either at the rehabilitation centers or in citizens’ own homes.
• Assess, plan and perform occupational therapy interventions. In geriatric teams, tasks often involve complex issues, mainly related to the elderly citizen.
• Strengthen citizens’ ability to manage daily activities and achieve the greatest possible independence.
• Be in close collaboration with physiotherapists as well as the various home care and nursing groups.
• Focus on volunteering and the importance of civil society for the citizen’s life.

About you

• Are educated as an occupational therapist
• Have an interest in the citizen’s daily life, activity and participation
• Are curious, engaged and motivated for professional development.
• Would like to work with digitally supported rehabilitation.
• Thrive in a close interdisciplinary collaboration and communicate clearly, both in writing and orally.
• Work independently and responsibly in daily work and seek relevant managerial sparring when needed.

About us

In Rehabilitation, Health and Prevention we work with citizens across all diagnostic groups under the Health Act § 140, the Elderly Act and the Service Act § 86. A significant part of our work concerns prevention, including initiatives focused on lifestyle, health and mastery of everyday life, e.g., after care programs under § 119.

Across the units we are a single department with 42 colleagues, of whom 32 are occupational and physical therapists. Rehabilitation is organized at three locations: Sundhedscenter Bøgebakken (Lejre), Rehabilitation Center Hvalsø and Rehabilitation Center Grønnehave (Ejby). Our geriatric team is based in Hvalsø.

Lejre Municipality is centrally located with good commuter options from several areas of Zealand. It is a requirement that you have a driving license for a standard passenger car, as there are home visits throughout Lejre Municipality. We work with FSIII and Nexus as IT systems.

Salary and employment

The temporary position is 37 hours per week, limited to 6 months, and to be filled as soon as possible. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement.
