About the job
Would you like to help make a difference for some of Denmark's most vulnerable young people?
At Egely we have since the start of the year been engaged in an energetic and exciting process, where we work purposefully to optimize our methods and workflows in shared understandings in order to be able to offer the best provision to children and young people in a secure setting with a basis in the core task:
"Children and young people at Egely experience a safe and content-rich everyday life with reliable adults"
We are therefore now seeking occupational therapists for the professional teams in the citizen-facing work in our living units.
We ensure thorough orientation, a mentorship scheme and accompanying shifts in practice collaboration with experienced colleagues, so everyone is equipped with the same tools, methods and working procedures.
If this sounds like something you would like, then hurry to send an application – we look forward to talking with you.
Egely - in brief
Egely is Region Southern Denmark's secured 24-hour institution for young people aged 12 to 17 who are placed on legal or social grounds. We have a total of 20 beds, of which 5 are in the specially secured department. There are about 60 young people admitted each year. Currently we have 2 open departments with a total of 10 beds.
We are around 80 employees – primarily pedagogical staff in the living units, but also psychologists, health professionals, social workers, teachers and other professional groups.
The young people we work with often have complex challenges with outwardly directed behaviour, criminality, substance abuse or psychiatric issues.
Our most important task is to help the young people find calm and stability, so they can build new life strategies and take steps toward a better future.
All children and young people at Egely are offered education or day activity in our internal teaching house, and have their everyday and leisure life in a living unit with four other children and young people.
The young people are often placed because of complex social, psychiatry-related and behavioural challenges such as outwardly directed or criminal behaviour, substance abuse and other comorbid challenges.
