Skanselyet Nursing Home was established in 1997 and expanded in 2009. The home today houses 80 units, including a department for residents with dementia.

The apartments are spacious 2-room units with living room, bedroom, entry, kitchenette and bathroom. There is the possibility for couples to live together.

Although Skanselyet physically consists of two buildings connected by a bridge, we see ourselves as one house with shared values and a common direction. Our motto is: "A home filled with warmth, dignity and community."

As area manager you will be part of a leadership team where we believe that "together we lead best" , and where professional development, collaboration and well-being are central focus areas.

You will have managerial responsibility for staff consisting of nurses, social and health care assistants, social and health care helpers and unskilled workers in all shifts. Your primary tasks

As area manager at Skanselyet you will have overall responsibility for daily operations, professional development and personnel management.

Your tasks will include, among others to

• Ensure high quality in care, assistance and rehabilitation based on residents’ wishes and needs.
• Exercise professional leadership and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Take care of personnel management, including recruitment, performance appraisals, competence development and well-being.
• Contribute to a healthy and psychologically safe working environment.
• Ensure good communication, planning and collaboration in and across the house.
• Contribute to the implementation of strategies, workflows and development projects.
• Contribute to ensuring financial balance and responsible resource use in the house.
