We are seeking an administrative officer who wishes to help carry out the large implementation work for a Green Denmark. You will work with budget and appropriation tasks in Corporate Governance and Corporate Economics.

About us

Denmark faces a historic transformation of our landscape, nature and agriculture. In the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare we work with some of the major societal tasks in the coming years – from the implementation of the Green Tripartite and nature restoration to the development of the agricultural sector of the future and the animal welfare area including through work on the pig sector.

The coming years will see large political agreements translated into concrete reality. Areas shall be restructured, nature, biodiversity and animal welfare shall be strengthened, and agriculture shall be developed within new national and European frameworks.

These are tasks of great importance for Denmark – and you will have the opportunity to help translate political ambitions into concrete results.

About the department

Together with many good colleagues in Corporate Governance and Corporate Economics you will help support the department's overall operations. You will also help ensure that the many initiatives in the agreement are implemented so that there is coherence between tasks and appropriations.

The office consists of about 20 employees and two office heads. We value good collaboration, professional sparring and teamwork. We work closely together to solve tasks efficiently, and we appreciate that everyone takes responsibility to contribute with possible solutions.

What you will especially be working with

You will join cross-disciplinary collaborations with your colleagues in the ministry and the ministry's two agencies, where state finances meet technical expertise, law and the political context. You will become part of the budget team, where you and five colleagues prepare decision documents for submission to the minister and the Folketing, present expenditure follow-ups to the department's leadership and contribute to proposals for the appropriation bill.

Additionally, much of your daily work will involve ensuring that budget- and appropriation-related issues are highlighted in other offices' foreclosures, professional notes, etc. You will therefore also need to prepare and participate in meetings and collaborate with colleagues internally and in the ministry's two agencies.

You will thus be part of a close cooperation across the entire ministry, including the Agency for Green Land Use and Water Environment and the Nature Agency, both of which have significant roles with professional and legal contributions to the task solution.

About you

You have a relevant academic degree in social sciences or similar and possibly a couple of years of experience from another ministry, a state agency or perhaps a municipal financial function.

Employment terms

The appointment is full-time, and pay is as an administrative officer under the then-current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on qualifications there will be an opportunity to negotiate a qualification allowance.

The employment area is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with its affiliated institutions. The place of employment is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare, the department, Holmens Kanal 22, 1060 Copenhagen K.

The position is to be filled by 1 December 2026, or earlier if possible.
