Senior Therapist for Health and Care Placements, Lillebaelt Hospital

In connection with the health reform we are establishing health and care placements in Kolding, Middelfart, Fredericia, Thyregod and Vejle as of January 1, 2027. The programs at the placements have an interdisciplinary, rehabilitative aim, so citizens achieve increased functional ability, greater independence and improved quality of life. Citizens can come both from their own homes and from the hospital and should experience a safe and coherent pathway.

Training, care and nursing are integrated into all daily activities during the stay, and the therapists are an equal part of the overall team around the citizen. Physical and occupational therapists are organized in a new division within the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services. The structure must balance the need for high professional therapeutic quality with the desire for local anchoring at the individual placements and a close, trusting interdisciplinary collaboration.

At the forefront of this task we want to recruit a senior therapist. You will be the closest leader for the physiotherapists and occupational therapists at the health and care placements in Vejle, Thyregod, Kolding, Fredericia and Middelfart. You will have close collaboration with the head colleagues at the health and care placements and with the head colleagues in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services.

As senior therapist you will be responsible for

• developing the rehabilitation effort and the interdisciplinary collaboration at the health and care placements
• translating visions and goals into practice in the staff's meetings with the individual citizen
• to organize and structure the work so that the therapist team's resources contribute effectively to good citizen pathways
• ensuring good and close collaboration with the Department of Nearby Health
• safeguarding well-being and a good working environment for the staff
• supporting the staff's professional development

About you

We are looking for a leader who understands that good people management is a prerequisite for good citizen pathways – and that it requires both presence in daily life and focus on the overarching goals. You are able to set direction together with others and able to create engagement and structure.

It is a prerequisite that you have Danish authorization as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist. In addition, we would like you to have clinical experience from a similar setting and experience as a leader. It is important that you are comfortable in a leadership role. You have strong collaboration skills and can engage in an ongoing dialogue with both employees and partners about how we create value for citizens.

About us

The department is a newly established unit for physiotherapists and occupational therapists at the health and care placements. The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services at Vejle and Kolding Hospitals are independent but closely collaborating departments for physiotherapists and occupational therapists, where there are about 110 staff in total. The staff group consists, besides therapists, of secretaries, employees in assistive devices depots and researchers. The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services are clinical training sites.

We have a close collaboration with the Department of Nearby Health on the health and care placements. At the placements the staff group consists of social and health care assistants, nurses, therapists and house assistants. Medical coverage is available at the placements.

Start date January 1, 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to current collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the collective agreement for leaders in the Danish Physiotherapists’, Occupational Therapists’ and related unions area 33.21.2 In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
