About the job

The position will commence on 1 January 2027.

Our core task is to educate interdisciplinary professional bachelor’s degree students who understand the entire industrial business—from technology and production to markets and export. The position, in addition to teaching and participation in research and development work, will also include cross-cutting duties such as project supervision, contact with students, preparation of examination tasks, and ongoing development of teaching and education, etc., in collaboration with the other teachers in the programme.

We also aim to strengthen the programme's practice-oriented research and development profile and therefore seek a colleague who can contribute to developing new knowledge in collaboration with companies, students and colleagues.

We place particular emphasis on linking our teaching with practice through reflective practice-based learning. This means that the students work with real problems from industry and move between theoretical knowledge, experience, reflection and action. Therefore you must be able to translate your technical knowledge and experience into teaching, cases and projects that make sense in a business context.

We continuously work to develop strong relations with industry and organizations. Through practice-oriented research and development projects we collaborate with companies and other actors to translate technical knowledge into concrete solutions, relevant learning pathways and the continued development of the education.

About the position

Export and Technology is an interdisciplinary education that combines technical product development and production with business, export and communication. We therefore seek a technically broad colleague, preferably with an engineering background and experience from a technical and/or production-oriented company.

You must be able to make classical technical subjects usable for students who will work at the intersection of technology and business, but who are not trained as specialized engineers.

An important part of the position is therefore also to contribute to research and development activities within the education's subject areas. This can, for example, be through participation in practice-oriented research and development projects with companies, development of project ideas, contributions to externally funded projects, dissemination of new knowledge and translation of research and development results into teaching, cases and student projects.

It would be an advantage if you have a PhD or equivalent documented experience with research and development work.

You will teach and supervise within the following subject areas

  • Material knowledge and material selection
  • Design, including basic statics and strength of materials
  • Production processes and planning
  • Operations Management, including capacity calculations
  • Quality assurance, quality management and quality improvement
  • Process optimization and the use of relevant quality systems and digital management systems
  • IT systems (including ERP systems, Excel and other IT systems used in a manufacturing company)
  • Project management
  • Technology and product development

The study regulations for the education can be found here

We expect that

  • you have a relevant technical education background, preferably as a civil or master’s engineer, and a total qualification level that enables you to teach at the professional bachelor’s level
  • you have relevant professional experience from a technical or production-oriented company
  • you can translate your professional knowledge and practical experience into teaching that is applicable and understandable for students with different academic prerequisites
  • you can teach and supervise in both Danish and English
  • you can contribute to a motivating learning environment where the students actively work with real-world problems
  • you can participate in interdisciplinary collaborations on teaching, supervision and examination tasks as well as development of the education
  • you have an interest in and preferably experience with practice-oriented research and development in collaboration with companies, organizations or educational environments
  • you can contribute to developing, implementing and disseminating research and development activities that strengthen the education’s academic environment and its link to industry
  • you have an interest in industry collaboration and take the initiative to create and maintain relationships with companies
  • you are prepared to teach on a hybrid education and to develop teaching that creates participation and presence for both online and on-campus students
  • you have teaching experience or the desire and the prerequisites to develop yourself as an instructor

We offer

  • an exciting educational environment in a field that is constantly evolving
  • good opportunities for development both professionally and personally
  • a small, interdisciplinary team where we work closely together, share knowledge and take joint responsibility for the education and the students’ learning
  • colleagues who are curious about each other’s areas of expertise, and an environment where there is room for both independence, initiative and joint development of the teaching.
  • You will become part of a research environment where you, together with colleagues, have the opportunity to translate your technical knowledge into research and development projects.
