About the job

We are seeking a pedagogue for our residential facility, where the target group is adults with autism and developmental disabilities, as one of our good pedagogues will try out another pedagogical role.

We are ready to welcome you warmly.

"There are so many opportunities at the place, and as a new employee you will be well taken care of. You will get a solid intro period with lots of courses and other opportunities for development" says Mathies, who is a social pedagogue in Rindbæk, House 1.

Rindbæk, House 1 is a § 108 residential facility where 19 residents live, distributed across 4 teams. There will typically be one staff member for 2-3 residents, who are supported in shifts as needed throughout the day. The department is part of the Autism Special Area (SAU), which is Region Midtjylland's specialized offering for adults with autism.

Due to GDPR rules and out of respect for residents’ privacy, we naturally do not film the residents.

Excellent opportunities for competence development

Are you ready to further develop your competencies within autism? We offer, among other things, the Autism Pilot training. We work according to the Autism SAU’s Common Professional Foundation and use among others LA2U, SIKK and Intensive Interaction. Your professional development is supported through ongoing guidance, sparring and supervision from our internal consultant unit.

NWhen you start with us, we provide a thorough introduction with shadow shifts with experienced colleagues and training in SAU's procedures and guidelines.

A job in a team

You are never alone at work. You become part of a multidisciplinary team with skilled and engaged colleagues, where collaboration, professional sparring and respect for the residents’ perspectives are in focus.

You document in Sensum One and collaborate constructively with colleagues, management, relatives and external partners.

We also prioritize a good psychological work environment. Therefore all shifts end with a short joint gathering, and we actively work with well-being and collaboration with inspiration from "Ræk mig lige samarbejdet – Tak".

A wonderful collaboration with the residents

You will engage in relational and pedagogical work with the residents, where we focus on presence and interaction with each resident. You will assist residents with ADL tasks and personal care in their own housing and participate in social interaction with the resident and help them find joy of life in their own apartment, in common areas and in outdoor life. All residents are mobile, and most enjoy a walk, a bike ride or a bus trip. Or simply being with you when something happens in their daily life. So it can be helpful to have a driving license.

Some residents do not have a verbal language, but use signs, sounds or their body to communicate. We must therefore often be the detective who notices the exciting aspects of the resident’s behaviour and thereby gives them a good day. There may be outwardly challenging behavior, and it is therefore important that you are grounded and can create calm and structure for residents who have a large support need.

A good work plan

You have a high degree of influence over your own work plan with us. You are, together with your team, involved in developing a 12-week rolling plan as a basic work plan, as well as helping to prepare both the summer vacation plan and the plan for distribution of the Christmas and New Year’s schedule.

Working hours are rotating day and evening shifts all year round. In some teams there are shifts of 10 and 12 hours. You typically work every 2nd weekend, but through agreements on a 15-hour workday and the long shifts, the work can be arranged to be every 4th weekend, if that suits you better.

So in general you have great influence over your working hours in collaboration with your team.

If all of this could be right for you, we look forward to hearing from you.

Recruitment process

Application deadline is 18 October 2026.

We expect to conduct interviews on 20 October.

Employment date is 1 December 2026 or 1 January 2027, if that suits you better.
