Educator for the nursery, Børnehuset Villavej, Ikast

Are you a pedagogue with a heart for the youngest – and an eye for their potential?

Then you might be the person we are looking for at Børnehuset Villavej!

From 01. November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, we are seeking for a permanent position a pedagogue for our nursery. The position is initially 34 hours (the remaining 3 hours up to 37 hours are negotiable).

You will be part of a nursery group with 11-12 children aged 0-3 years , where presence, safety and good relationships are decisive for the children’s well-being and development.

For us, the small moments make a big difference. It’s about being close to the children, following their initiatives and creating a daily life where they feel seen, understood and meaningful. Help the child develop roots and wings.

We are looking for you who want to be an important adult in the little children’s lives. You who can see the possibilities in everyday life and who can both immerse yourself in play on the floor, create calm around meals, and seize the moments when a child takes a small – but important – step in their development.

We are a developing house with a fixed development space allocated for joint pedagogical reflection and Action Learning. From 2027 we will work according to the quality markers in Kids as we look into a period of continuing education for pedagogical staff.

We expect that you

• Can contribute to translating visions and pedagogical curricula so that they are felt down to the toes.
• Are engaged, independent and proactive and can both throw and catch a ball from a child and a colleague.
• As a person, are robust and stable, which is important for being able to scaffold.
• Are loyal, flexible and development-minded in collaboration with your colleagues and contribute to the community.
• Are clear in your communication and can contribute to creating a daily life where the structure is there to support the child and not the other way around.
• Contributes to and participates in close collaboration with colleagues and parents.
• Creates security and presence for the children, so they become part of the community and develop.
• Takes on responsibility and is a role model for the children.
• Creates a safe daily routine for the children, providing room for well-being, play, learning and development within the framework we have.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between KL and BUPL. On appointment, Ikast-Brande Municipality reserves the right to obtain child and criminal records with the applicant’s consent.
