Educator for a professionally skilled infant care team, in a small daycare by Sømosen

Your main tasks

Your daily life takes place in the toddler department.

Together with your colleagues you plan play, care and activities and plan the pedagogical content. We prioritize divided small groups daily, and we base it on what is good for the children and the community in the group. You like being on the floor at eye level with the children, and you think it's fun to play, while contributing with an appreciative and inclusive approach.

During the day with the children, your foremost task is to

• create good learning environments for all children, and support children's participation in the communities
• create joy, laughter and excitement at child height
• create a structured daily life with pedagogical content.

Our daycare bears signs that children should be offered different activities and play opportunities. You see that in the interior, and you quickly sense the calm atmosphere in the house. We are constantly working to develop our learning environments and adapt them to the children's changes.

Your competencies

• you are professionally curious and have a didactic approach
• you are collaborative, also when it comes to parent cooperation
• you are strong relationally in interaction with children
• you can create a structured daily life with pedagogical content
• you lead and take leadership of the child group.

You are trained as a pedagogue and have good relational competencies, as it is through good child-adult relations that you can best work developmentally with the children. You manage to meet the child precisely where it is in its development, and plan from there relevant pedagogical activities that embrace both the community's and the individual child's needs. You have an eye for the individual child and its development possibilities and understand that the foundation for development and well-being is care and security. You have a “drive” while maintaining a positive approach and a good mood in everyday life.

Who we are

Kindergarten House Sømosen is a smaller kindergarten house in the Skovlunde district with its own pedagogical leader. We are normed for 55 lovely children, distributed between toddlers and kindergartners.

In addition there are 12 engaged staff. We have plenty of space for both indoor and outdoor deepening, and both outdoor life and time for care, presence, play and daily routines are valued highly in daily life.

Employment process and salary

The position is 37 hours. You are welcome to propose a different number of hours.

The employment date is January 1, 2027. We expect to hold interviews Monday November 23, 2026

Application deadline: November 20, 2026.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogical staff in day care, clubs and leisure schemes in municipalities and according to principles of local pay formation and after agreement with the bargaining organization.

The salary range for the position is 35,990.97 kr. – 40,298.65 kr. per month (37 hours).

The salary depends on negotiation between the manager and the professional organization that has the right to negotiate for the applicable collective agreement.

The composition of the salary depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
