Pedagogical Assistant at Børnehuset Else

Are you good at building relationships and bringing creativity into children's everyday lives? Are you ready for a day filled with smiles, play, and lots of fun moments? Then you might be the assistant we are looking for.

We are looking for an engaged assistant educator, preferably with experience, who loves being a part of children's lives and thrives on handling both the everyday small surprises and the big smiles. Børnehuset Else is located in Ørestad Syd near Vestamager Station and surrounded by the loveliest nature in all of Copenhagen – Amager Fælled, which is just meters from us.

At Børnehuset Else we work purposefully to create a safe and warm base for our toddler and kindergarten children. We have an art and a music profile, which is expressed in our approach to daily life with the children. Our lovely house contains both a theatre hall and an art workshop, which are used daily in activities with both toddlers and kindergarten children. We are a children’s house with high professional pride and with a visible affirming approach to both children and adults.

We work holistically and inclusively and are passionate about creating a close and embracing environment for both children as well as adults. We have a broadly composed staff group and therefore great diversity that strengthens our collaboration across the house. We work in an environment with professional sparring, high ceilings, and where we care for and about each other.

As an assistant you will become part of a dynamic team, where we work closely together to give the children a safe and developing everyday life. We meet every child with respect and recognition – and you know that smiles and care can be just as important as a good pedagogical effort.

Employment terms

The position is a permanent employment, and pay and terms follow the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the employment we obtain a child care and criminal record check.

Start date December 1, 2026.
