About Brøndagerskolen

Brøndagerskolen is a special school for children and young people with autism spectrum disorders (ASF). The student group spans a broad range of developmental stages, and several students have needs for support in many parts of their daily life.

The school is located in Albertslund with good transport links and receives students from across Greater Copenhagen.

Brøndagerskolen is a holistic offering, where the day spans both teaching and leisure activities.

Everyday life at Brøndagerskolen

Daily life is varied, and the tasks are many and diverse. As a pedagogy assistant you will be part of the team around a student group, where you support practical, social and academic activities.

Your tasks may include

• Practical daily tasks (e.g. tidying and dishwashing)
• Participation in teaching and activities
• Support for the students' social well-being
• Assistance with personal care for some students

In addition, you will participate in substitute coverage across the school. About half of the working time will be flexibly placed in other groups.

Perhaps you cycle a trip with students, take part in community singing or support a mealtime situation – the work is varied and requires flexibility.

You actively participate in the school's daily life, including meetings and events (e.g., about 8 evening meetings annually).

How we work

At Brøndagerskolen we work in a structured way with a focus on relationships and predictability for the students.

As a helper you will be attached to a fixed group and participate in team meetings. You will also have planned preparation time so you can actively contribute to the work with the students.

We have a focus on upskilling and ensure you get the necessary knowledge to work with our student group.

Working hours

The school is open on school days and holidays from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with morning care from 7:15 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.

The working hours fall within this timeframe, typically with 2–3 afternoons per week until 4:20 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.

Salary and employment terms

Salary placement is determined by agreement between the municipality and the negotiating organization. Albertslund Municipality supports the full-time effort in accordance with the Part-time Agreement on Pay and Working Conditions, and the municipality therefore hires predominantly on a 37-hour basis.
