Permanent position in the specialized adult area in the Social Department

The Social Department is seeking as of 1.12.26 or as soon as possible a staff member for a permanent position of 37 hours to the Unit for Prevention and Assessment.

In the Social Department we work from a recovery- and rehabilitative approach. This means that we collaborate with citizens from their perspective, wishes and goals.

We have a close and good cross-sectional collaboration with the municipality's activity and social offerings, voluntary services, relatives, and external partners in the areas of vulnerable groups and psychiatry. We are focused on whether our interventions work, and we have a focus on the citizen's progression toward achieving the greatest possible independence in everyday life.

Based on the principle of providing the least intrusive intervention, we have a special focus on supporting and maintaining citizens' contact with education, the labor market and activities in civil society. In addition, we focus on citizens being able to maintain or achieve an independent living in their own home.

About the Unit for Prevention and Assessment

You will become part of the Unit for Prevention and Assessment, which is one of the Social Department's three authority teams. We administer the provisions of the Social Services Act on the specialized adult area and function as the Social Department's “gateway” for citizens over 30 years old. This means that all new inquiries come to us. We have our own range of advisory and guidance programs, which we deploy to meet the inquiries.

Our advisory and guidance programs range from advice and guidance, case processing, coordination, clarifying/preventive programs and to front-loaded, outreach work. We also have the option to offer the citizen a time-limited social-pedagogical program under § 82b of the Social Services Act. In addition, we make decisions on substance abuse treatment under § 101 of the Social Services Act.

Your tasks include

• Advice and guidance to adult citizens with reduced physical or mental functioning and socially vulnerable people
• Participating in a joint task solution, including coordinating the citizen's case across the municipality
• Uncovering according to Mapplan and making decisions on substance abuse treatment under § 101 of the Social Services Act
• Using the action plan under § 141 of the Social Services Act as a collaborative tool with the citizen
• Accompaniment and introduction to activity and social opportunities, voluntary offers and other activities in civil society
• Establishing good collaborative relations with citizens and their relatives, psychiatry and other actors
• Managing our on-call telephone about one day every other week.

We imagine that you

• are educated as a social worker, social mediator or have another relevant social professional education
• prefer experience within the specialized social field for adults or other statutory work
• are used to working in a holistic manner with a basis in the citizens' own wishes and goals
• can work independently, both in the “here-and-now” when challenges arise and in the long haul – but also can ask for, and offer, professional sparring when needed
• are service-oriented, have a good mood and good collaboration skills
• find energy in not having all the answers and continuously seek knowledge to become wiser and be able to help the citizen in the best possible way.
