We are looking for a calm, caring and stable employee as a fixed substitute for the team, who can cover shifts due to illness and holidays.

You will be part of a well-functioning team around a lovely and creative young woman in Haslev.

About the woman

The woman is 37 years old and lives in a cozy townhouse in Haslev together with her cat. She is very creative and loves projects such as sewing, crocheting, making jewelry and other crafts – and she is happy to share her knowledge and passion. At the same time she is a big fan of sport, especially football and Formula 1 , and also enjoys good films, board games, card games and a round of Wii.

When she was 10 years old, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that could not be operated on, and she has undergone radiation and cancer treatment. This has resulted in a brain injury as well as physical and psychological challenges.

Today she needs structure, predictability and calm breaks , including daily rest, as overstimulation can lead to epileptic seizures.

About the tasks

You work alone on shifts , but you are part of a fixed team of 4 employees. The shifts are in the time period 9:00–19:00 .

The tasks include, among others

• Support in daily life and one-to-one companionship
• Practical tasks at home, e.g., shopping and cooking
• Planning and structuring the day in collaboration with the woman according to a fixed weekly schedule
• Participation in creative activities, games and pleasant moments
• Driving and accompaniment to e.g. shopping and physiotherapy

Everything takes place at the woman’s pace and according to her daily form. Predictability and structure are central elements in the job. There is also a close and respectful collaboration with the woman’s parents.

You, we are looking for

We imagine that you

• Are educated as a pedagogue or unskilled with pedagogical experience.
• Or are a pedagogy student / student in another relevant social- or health-related education
• Are caring, empathetic and calm
• Thrive in one-to-one work
• Understand the importance of structure, predictability and safety
• Preferably have experience with brain injury (an advantage, but not a requirement)
• Are flexible and can take shifts due to illness and holidays
• Hold a driving license and own car, which can be used in the job (driving compensated with mileage reimbursement)
