About the job

Are you professionally well-founded, thrive with responsibility, and want to be part of a department with fantastic interdisciplinary collaboration? Then apply for this position and get a workplace where there is high professionalism, good colleagues and a thorough introduction.

Short about the position

We are looking for a skilled and engaged physiotherapist who finds it exciting to work with assessment, rehabilitation and retraining in the neurological specialty.

Our work takes place at Bispebjerg’s neurological departments, where we primarily have patients with acquired brain injury in both short assessment pathways and longer rehabilitation pathways. A common thread for the neurological departments is that we have a strongly inclusive interdisciplinary collaboration, where the therapists have a large share in planning the good patient pathways.

This is a permanent position of 35 hours/week.

Who are we?

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is a clinically cross-disciplinary department with its own research unit. We are passionate about making a difference, and therefore the patient, research, development and innovation are priorities for us.

We take responsibility for our professional standard including the implementation of new knowledge, treatment and measurement methods, as well as holding journal clubs, supervision and workshops. Right now we have a special focus on the implementation of tests and self-training.

You will become part of our “stroke team”, where we are 11 physiotherapists and 11 occupational therapists. There are also tasks in the general neurological specialty. The team has strong professional and social relations, and we always help each other when needed.

The team is part of the neurological area, where we in total are 27 therapists plus a research and development therapist.

We participate in several quality and development projects across the hospital and sectors as well as local working groups with the aim of improving and developing patient pathways primarily in a neurological setting.

Your primary tasks

  • Acute functional assessments of neurological patients with setting goals and plans as well as recommendations for discharge destination and rehabilitation needs
  • Rehabilitation and retraining of patients with neurological issues
  • Close collaboration with the patient, relatives and the interdisciplinary team about the patient’s rehabilitation pathway, including participation in the DIS (Den Inddragende Stuegang) and communication with the municipality

We expect that you

  • Have experience in training neurological patients, and contribute to maintaining the team’s high standards within neurological rehabilitation through active participation and engagement in professional development.
  • Have experience working in a hospital and thrive in the acute environment, where the day's program can change continuously.
  • Are professionally well-founded, strong in your clinical reasoning and can communicate it verbally as well as in writing.
  • Can work independently, prioritize and tackle challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Have good collaboration skills and see it as natural to involve interdisciplinary partners in patient pathways and task solutions.

We offer

  • Skilled and good colleagues who place a high value on professional sparring, knowledge sharing and well-being
  • Thorough introduction to our exciting and varied daily life with professional challenges and responsibilities, but where you never stand alone.
  • Focus on research and development, where there is an opportunity to influence the physiotherapeutic and rehabilitative efforts and development work.
  • Positive expectations of you and a management that prioritizes innovation, professional and personal development and a good working environment.

Employment terms

The position is 35 hours weekly with starting date 1 January 2027.

You must be prepared for flexible meeting times in the hours 8-17 on weekdays. You will join weekend and holiday on-call rotation in a 6-week cycle. Local allowances have been negotiated for the on-call arrangement.

Salary and conditions follow the collective agreement for non-managerial staff for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and midwives, concluded among others between the Danish Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapy Association, and the Regions’ Payroll and Tariff Board.
