About the job

Do you want to help develop a new regional offering for people with acquired brain injury – and work with specialized neurorehabilitation both in the citizen's own home and during inpatient care?

We are looking for a physiotherapist who is passionate about specialized neurorehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and developing new solutions for people with complex rehabilitation needs.

The position is a combined role, where you will both provide specialized rehabilitation based on the citizen's own home and physiotherapeutic tasks for patients admitted to Neuroenhed Nord in Brønderslev.

You will play a central role in building a new regional rehabilitation offer, where the effort starts from the citizen's everyday life and the opportunities and challenges found at home and in the immediate surroundings.

About the position

As part of the development of specialized rehabilitation in Region North Jutland, a regional offer is established for citizens who need a specialized rehabilitation effort based on their own home.

The offer shall build on the specialized competencies existing in the regional neurorehabilitation environment, while also creating coherence between rehabilitation, the citizen's everyday life and the further process in the municipal sector.

You will become part of the existing physiotherapist group at Neuroenhed Nord Brønderslev. Here you will have a professional base with colleagues, cross-disciplinary sparring, and a specialized clinical environment, while also having the opportunity to influence the development of the new initiative.

Your working hours may periodically fluctuate between full-time duty of either rehabilitation of inpatients at Neuroenhed Nord Brønderslev or specialized rehabilitation of citizens at home. In the long term, a work distribution of approximately 50% to each task is expected. Geographically, the position covers the entire Region North Jutland - with daily travel from the service location in Brønderslev.

You report academically and on a daily basis to the Chief Senior Therapist at the Department of Neurorehabilitation and work closely with the health professional manager on the development and implementation of rehabilitation at a specialized level.

Your tasks

Your duties will include, among others, to

  • Plan, implement and evaluate specialized physiotherapeutic rehabilitation programs in the citizen's own home.
  • Examine and assess motor function, including gait and strength training, mobility, as well as tasks related to often complex cognitive comorbidities.
  • Organize targeted interventions based on the citizen's individual goals, resources, daily life, and surroundings to regain or compensate for lost functions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation pathways with relevant professional groups and contribute to a coherent effort using neuro-professional interventions at the body, activity, and participation levels directly related to situations in the citizen's daily life.
  • Collaborate closely with municipal partners on coordination, knowledge sharing, and the transition to the subsequent municipal-based effort.
  • Carry out physiotherapeutic tasks for patients admitted to Neuroenhed Nord.
  • Contribute actively to the development, testing, and implementation of workflows and professional methods in the new regional offer.

You must be able to work independently and make professional decisions within your own competence area, while actively seeking sparring and contributing to interdisciplinary collaboration.

Who are you?

We are looking for a physiotherapist who wants to work with complex rehabilitation pathways and is motivated to make a difference in the citizen's own life.

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained physiotherapist with an interest in and experience with neurorehabilitation.
  • Have solid physiotherapeutic expertise and can translate examinations and professional assessments into targeted rehabilitation interventions.
  • Can work independently, in a structured and flexible manner in a daily life where tasks take place both in the citizen's home and at a specialized rehabilitation unit.
  • Have good collaboration skills and can build trusting relationships with citizens, relatives and professional partners.
  • Have an appreciation for the importance of interdisciplinarity and cross-sector collaboration in complex rehabilitation pathways.
  • Are curious, development-oriented and eager to contribute to the establishment of a new regional offer.
  • Have a driving license – minimum category B

We offer

With us you will have the opportunity to combine clinical work with professional development and building a new regional offer.

We offer you

  • An exciting combined position with both specialized rehabilitation in the citizen's own home and rehabilitation of inpatients.
  • Opportunity to shape the development of a new offer and have influence on professional methods, workflows and collaboration forms.
  • A professional community with physiotherapists and occupational therapists and other professional groups in a specialized neurorehabilitation environment.
  • Close collaboration with municipal actors on coherent rehabilitation pathways.
  • Professional sparring and opportunity to develop your competencies within specialized neurorehabilitation.
  • A daily life with great variation, independent responsibility and the possibility to apply your professional skills in new ways.
